Royal LD60 EZVue desktop calculator Display stays blank It solar with...

Royal LD60 EZVue desktop calculator. Display stays blank. It's solar, with a fully charged battery back-up; I experimented with another fully charged battery, in case the solar panel was at fault.
I turn it on, nothing happens. I went inside to look at the printed circuit ... nothing apparent I'm no electronics expert. I do have an analog volt/ohm meter but I wouldn't know how to test this device. Any notions, anyone?

1. Open Power Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
   

2. On the Select a power plan page, next to the plan you want to change, click Change plan settings.
   

3. On the Change settings for the plan page, click Change advanced power settings.
   

4. On the Advanced settings tab, expand Battery, expand Low battery level, Reserve battery level, and Critical battery level. Change the percentage of battery remaining that you want for each level, and then click OK.

your camera doesn't have internal battery so everytime you change the battery it will ask you to set the date...

try new Alkaline batteries or fully charged NiMH batteries, you may need to clean and adjust the springs in the battery compartment

It is really NORMAL that the date will be reset to the Manufacturer's date whenever you are changing batteries.

For you not to keep on changing the date and time of your camera, use Rechargeable batteries for a longer battery life span but make sure that you will be setting the battery type of your camera for the Rechargeable ones.

To set the correct battery type.
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see BATTERY TYPE
- Select ALKALINE if you're using NON-RECHARGEABLE
- Select Ni-MH if you're using RECHARGEABLE
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved

Turn off camera after the settings
have been changed to refresh the camera.
