Question about Frigidaire FGF316 Gas Kitchen Range
For the past couple of years, our frigidaire oven has not been reaching the temperature we set it to. For example, if we set it to 450F, it will reach about 350F, and if I set it to 550F, it will reach about 490F. I measure the internal temperature with a separate thermometer. We've had service people over to fix it, but they say they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Any suggestions on how this could be fixed?
It sounds like the thermostat is off. This would be the first place I would check.

Hi friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that the oven will not hold temperature properly inside your Frigidaire range. I would perform a reset which can be done by unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. Please comment back if that did not help correct the issue. -Matt

The problem is usually the igniter not reaching the correct amp draw .When the igniter does not reach the correct amp draw it may allow the gas valve to partially open or not open at all. The igniters are inexpensive and easy to replace. This video will walk you thru the correct procedure for testing an oven igniter. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
