SOURCE: How to Replace Little Giant Water Wizard Utility Pump Power Cord

Yes, If it goes together it will come apart. If it is the one I'm thinking of if you take the base apart there will be through bolts that run through the whole pump, remove these I want to think there are some that are short and these hold the base to the motor but they may be behind the impeller. Be warey as I'm not sure. But once the through bolts are out you should be able to carefully remove the top. Some have very frail gaskets here so be gentel. Once you have the top free there will be a compression nut holding the cord before pulling cord through use a light sand paper to clean the cord so the part you pull through will be fresh enough to seal. Don't lube the cord this will keep it from sealing. Pull it hrough and make your repair and put it back together the way it came apart. Use a sharpie to mark the top and housing as you take it apart. When finished loop some cord through pump handel and tie it off so this takes the weight in the future to keep from having the same problem again. good luck

SOURCE: I cleaned the screen, and the impeller is working

You may need to take the bottom of the pump apart and check to see if any thing has gotten through the screen and clogged the impeller.

My Little Giant APCP 1700 stopped running even when submerged. Now its stuck in a continuous run mode after I played around with the automatic float stick position. Why is it stuck in this run mode?

the floats are mechanical on these pumps, unlike the electronic ones on other models , the floats can get stuck on them most common reason is forign object stuck up inside area of float (leaves, tree droppings etc)

My Little giant wgp-65-pw has tripped my gfi repeatedly. any idea why? No shorts in the cord are apparent

if a pump connected to a gfci outlet trips , then the gfci has detected a high resistance "shortage" inside pump and has disconnected power , this "shortage" can be nearly in detectable from human standards(shock) , but gfci picks it up
most likely pump seal has failed and water has gotten inside pump !! it only takes one drop to do this !!

Motor runs but pumping mechanism simply falls out?

A motor shop can get you parts or rebuild it for you, If it is just a impeller it's probally pretty reasonable and then you have a spare.

There is power to the pump, but the pump will not come on. It has a pressure switch, the contacts are making contact, but the motor doesn't run. what should i check for?

Sometimes around the area of the motor there is a little button that is usually red that is made to "trip" if the pump got hot or overloaded. Push this button back in to reset if it has on. Most pumps have this button to keep them from burning up if overloaded.

Saving money

you can use Solar Pumps: Solar-powered pumps perform well in climates with a great deal of sunshine and save money by not requiring an outdoor electrical outlet. Solar pumps also work well if your fountain is located a distance from the power supply. However, flow rate is minimal compared to typical voltage
