Thermador oven won't heat up

My Thermador electric oven (RDSS30) will not heat up. I attempted to heat to 350 degrees and after 2 hours it was only at 150. The bottom heating element is not turning red. We've checked the breaker, control panel, and wiring. It looks fine. It's only two years old. Help!

Had a similar problem. The overheat sensor had failed to the open position and the oven control would light up and you could set the temp, but it would drop to 100 degrees and then go blank.

if you feel through the insulation you can find the two wires that attach to the element pull them through to plug the element back on but there is no plug per say but first are you sure the element is good were there no wires on the element when you removed it should have been two spade connectors with wires on them attached to the element hold my rating till you reply

SOURCE: Thermador SC301T heating elements not working (top

Its the thermal safety switch. When it trips - it cuts any power from reaching BOTH elements. Open the oven door - at the top wehere the oven latch is - remove the long black panel. In the middle - on the right is a small cylindrical switch...push down on the top - in the very will rest the switch (like a circuit breaker) and then reassemble. Just did it on mine (2nd time) and it fired right up. Good luck

My Thermador RDDS30VRS only heats up to 230 degrees

If you have the use and care manual, check to see if your unit has the option to change from farenheit to celcius. If so, make sure yours was not accidentally changed to celcius.

I set the oven at 350 degrees and after 3 hours it has only reached 185 and won't go any higher. The oven is approx. 8 years old.

Heating element in upper oven heats to about 300 degrees and temperature will not increase.

That seems to me like it could be an issue with the sensor. Ohm it out. It should be around 1100 ohms if it is any good. Check for shorts from each wire of the oven sensor to ground. I have a manual and a TIP I wrote about these Thermadors.

I had the same problem in December - I had to replace the circuit breaker and that solved the problem. My oven wouldn't go above 100 degrees in convection, bake and roast modes. Each of these modes are on a separate circuit so when one is bad, the others should work.
