SOURCE: whirlpool commercial washer stopped running mid

If the timer and lid switches are funtional and the machine is filling and shutting off correctly that only leaves the motor. Have the motor tested or replace it. Even though the timer is running it is possible that it is still at fault. If you have access to another timer try switching them to make sure it isn't the timer. This does sound like a faulty motor and I would start with that assumption.

You can bypass for trial by shorting the switch but this being a safety feature it is important to get the switch replaced.

I have a electric whirlpool thin twin. It fills with water and agitates...then nothing. No drain, or spin.

check the lid switch, open the lid and on the right side you'll see a hole in the top panel, stick a screw driver in it,push down, you should hear a click,or close the lid and open it a couple of inches and close it,do this a few times,no clicking sound bad lid switch.

Whirlpool Whirlpool WTW5560SQ Top Load: Stopped working after filling with water. Checked electric and circuits. First thought was lid switch, but no part number in manual. So where do I go from here?

The lid switch is likely the culprit. However, make certain the LH lid hinge screws are tight. If you cannot hear it click when you open and close the lid, it is bad.

My whirlpool top load washer won't drain and spin

This is likely to be a problem with the lid switch.the lid switch is activated by the lid stricker when you lower the lid.these machines will normally fill & wash without needing the lid closed but when it gets to spinning & draining the lid must be closed,so the machine is acting as though the lid is open.the lid has probably been dropped or slammed shut & this can break the lid switch from where it mounts with 2 phillips head screws.

Whirlpool stack washer will fill but will not progress to rest of cycle

It sounds like the lid switch is not making contact. It is a magnet located on the lid so that when you close the lid, the magnet pulls the switch closed. Make sure the magnet is still on the lid. If you washer lid will not stay open on most models, the magnet is gone because this is the same magnet that pulls the lid switch closed. If you can find where it goes, find a strong magnet and place it on the top inside rim where the lid goes when closed. Turn the machine on, let fill with water. Once this is complete and the machine should start. Take the magnet and move it around the rim until the unit starts running. If you can't get it to run, most likely the switch it's self is bad. I think you will find the magnet on the lid is gone and the machine will start running once you pass a magnet over the place where it goes. If so you will need to replace the part.

Ultimate Care II, delicate cycle fills nothing else

sonds like the door lid swich is not activating properly, next time it does not star for you try lifting the lid and listening for a clicking noise upon closing it.. i bet yo ucant hear it, if this is the case look to the left side of the door and make sure the hinge scres are tight, and if so you can liftthe lid( and with your hand under the lid open and clos a feww times ( you wantto feel the pin that actuates the switch its actualla contiuation ofthe hinge itself, when oyu locate it you can try to bend it towards teh back of the unit.. i use a hollow nutdriver/screwdriver to accomplish this, as you push it the lid will wantto close( your pushing against it) afeter yo udo this you should hear it "click" easier when opening and closing

Whirlpool Top Loader LSB6000PQ0 fills up with water but that's it

you probably closed the lid to hard and broke the switch that tells the machine that it is closed. So the machine thinks the lid is open and for saftey reasons will not operate. I had the same problem. You can buy a new switch for about $10 or you can simply cuts the wires for the switch and wire them together. If you do this be warned that the machine will never know if the lid is open or closed. The machine will assume that the lid is always closed. But it will work also.

Washer fills with water - then nothing at all. Power in outlet

Check to see if lid switch is closing. Should at least hear a click from it when lid closes. Test it with a meter. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks
