Question about Televison & Video

Tuner problem The input on the TV will change on it's own without me using the remote or changing it in any other way. It will change from input 1 to 2 to 3 and so on. I can't control the input from changing, and it's impossible to watch tv.

RCA 35" Model F35760MB - 1st the channel you are on will pop and crack you get intermittent static. Sometimes the channel will switch back and forth to other channels. Then TV shuts off and comes back on. About 1/2 of the time the tv works correctly. When it is acting up you can hit the top of tv this will sometimes make it start working right.

This is the low band in the tuner for the set.

If using a cable box unplug it for a while and plug back in for it to reboot.

Also you can route from a box or even an old VCR signal from its audio/video outputs to a set of rear inputs and bypass the TV tuner--use the box or VCR to change channels.

Leave the set on that input and operate without the tuner in the TV.

I can't program my tv to regular antenna channels

You can program to regular (analog) antenna channels. To do so you must use the original remote which has a TV/DTV switch in the top right corner of the remote. Choose the appropriate mode for the type of channel you want to see or scan for. Here is a link to the owners manual and a picture of the remote swithc. The info on the signal switching is on pg.13.

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

Broken cable hook up

sometimes if the tuner is not damaged then a technician can put it back on... the other option is to tune the channel through a vcr.. essentally bypassing the tv tuner and useing vcr tuner. hook the cable to vcr then using rca jacks yellow red and white connect it to you tv(if it has rca jacks ...most have them these days.. sometimes on front and sometime on back or even on the side.. tune your tv to that input(video 1 or something like that.. then using your vcr remote change channel...its not a perfect solution but it will save you the 130 buck most charge to repair that connector

Check in the TV menu, there should be a "Input" submenu that will let you change between the Tuner/Video/SVideo inputs.

How Do I Get a DVD to Work with This TV?

Make sure to switch the TV's tuner mode to Video or Aux mode.
You can change the mode using the original TV remote or directly from the TV's control panel.

Again, tuner mode picks up all live broadcast airwaves and Video or Auxillary mode displays what is inputed into the TV via second device..

Good Luck!
