Question about Uniden Cordless Phone
Hi, I have a Uniden 8855 Which is has a major problem. I cannot get the handset the turn on. It displays the uniden logo, then turns off & on over and over again. All functions on the base unit work. I can't find the receipt, the Serial number is 54001952, I am not sure if I have any warranty left on it. I hope you can help me. It cost a lot of money for a phone. You'd hope it would last longer than this. Thank you John

Uniden's warranty policy is covered within 1 year with a receipt, call them and let them know you have your manufacturer date, they may accept that as proof of purchase.

On most models you can find an option in the menu for De-register? In that case you would select that option and select to deregister the handset.
TRU88 models you go to the main menu and go to De-register HS select yes to deregister the Handset.
DCT5 and DCT6 models: Press menu on the handset. Go to System Reset and Press select. Go to Deregister HS and press select. Arrow up to yes and press select. Then go back into the menu. Go to system reset and press select. Arrow down to Replacing the base and press select. Arrow up to yes and press select.
DCT7 models: Press and hold "end" and "#" until the system reset menu appears on the display. Then follow the instructions from above for the DCT5 and DCT6 deregister procedures once your into the menu.
TRU4 and TRU5 models: Press and hold xfer/del and end until "de-register?" appears. Use the plus+ button to go up to yes and press select.
To register any of the following phones please see you owners manual under either:
•Register handset or
•Register the digital security code.

we purchased the uninden 3 pack bundle they worked fine when installed now one handset will light up but the screen comes up blank and the handset won't work also if this can be corrected i would like to know how to purchase one extra hand set and charger

I just successfully registered 4 TCX905s with my TRU8865 base - it's documented in the TCX905 manual.
Be sure the handset you want to register is fully charged.
Remove the handset you want to register from its charger.
Now unplug the AC for the main base, hold down the 'find handset' key on the base and plug the AC in again, when it beeps, you can let go of that button.
Hold down the '#' on the handset you want to register, it will show 'Registering Handset...' and when it beeps, it's done - registered, you're good to go :)

try connecting both phones via the base that is working and see if they recognize each other. Let me know if that works.
