My interface cable has been lost. Can i buy a new one ?

It looks like the sd450 only uses a mini-b usb connection to connect and the other side is standard usb. You can get this cable almost anywhere. Here is a link to google shopping where there is a ton of online retailers to choose from:

Can I download the program to add my A1100 camera to my computer? I've lost the accessories that came with the camera.

Hello,

You don't need to download anything. You should buy cables that will connect from your camera to your pc/laptop.

Your options are:
Buy a SD/HC card reader. Your camera has a memory card, called SD/HC. Stick that card into a card reader and you can get your images from the camera.

Buy a USB 2.0 cable. Find one that will connect to that of yours, one end is a usb, the other end must match into the camera. (mostly it would resemble a smaller usb port on your camera)

My recommendation:
Buy the USB, its cheaper. You wont run the chance of scratching your SD card when you put it in and take it out of the card reader/camera.

Good luck and Please rate my answer.

Canon PC1045/PowerShot A300 I need an Owner's Manual and a USB cable. I need an Owner's Manual and a USB Cable.

You can download a manual and order a USB cable from the manufacturer's web site at http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8775

Before you buy another USB cable, consider this: The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Usb 2.0 portable drive has (5pin mini) will only work with usb cable that came with canon camera. other brand new usb 2.0 cable won't work. Tried this with 2 different drives and also with mac and PC

Suggestions:
(best to worst)
1. Use a "Y" USB cable with that drive.
2. Use a shorter USB cable.
3. Use the new cables with the canon
4. Use a 2.0 hub

The drive should have come with a "split" USB cable (USB "Y" cable). The drive requires a "data" and a "power" connection to your computer.
Get one at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Office Depot/Max... ($10)... or Dollar store ($1.09)

You may have a defective USB cable. Try a different cable, or try plugging the cable into a different USB plug on your computer. If neither of these work, the camera may have a defective USB plug on the camera. Double check that the camera is turned on. If all else fails, you can copy the photo files by removing the memory card from the camera and putting it in a card reader built into your computer, your printer, or use a separate memory card reader. You can buy them at most camera and computer stores - they are inexpensive, usually less than $20.
