Question about Zanussi WJS1265W Front Load Washer/Dryer
Hi, John Lewis JLWM 1407 washing machine . Door lock light does not illuminate when door shut ....then when start button pressed with wash selection chosen the spin speed light immediately goes from spin speed to 'none', machine makes a low whirring noise and display panel goes straight from wash time to zero and beeps as if wash cycle complete. Machine about five years old....worth paying to fix or new machine? Thank you for any suggestions.

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

I've had the same problem. I removed the top lit and found some pressure
transmitter and a pressure switch. I suspect that the pressure
transmitter is use for measuring the waterlevel in the machine. I think
the membrane loses its flexibility over the years.
I pulled of the hose from the transmitter and blowed and sucked a few times on the transmitter. After doing this the machine washes without a problem since then.
Hope it helps for you.
