What the value of y

**I see no diagram**. There is a problem of formulation here.

If DE is parallel to XY, that supposes that DE and XY are two segments (or lines, or rays). But if you use the symbol X to represent a point in a plane you cannot use the same symbol to represent a measure (value).

You should read carefully the problem you are asked to solve. And if you need some help please do not assume that the person who reads the question knows what you are talking about. Unless you express it completely and clearly.

Try again.

Hi,

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Goodluck!

Hi. Those values changes in every machine . Depending on your model it should have a printed service label attached inside of the back cover or front cover of the machine.

in that label specify the default value for your device

xy^2/xy....... I am taking this as not being (xy)^2/xy.

So divide the top and bottom line both by xy. You get y/1 = y

If you know the values of a, b, c, and d you can calculate a+b, and c+d. No further simplification is possible.

Without knowing anything about where point C is, or how the two lines relate to the lake, that's an impossible question to answer. How about providing a diagram?

In mathematics, an**absolute value** is a function which measures the "size" of elements in a field or integral domain. More precisely, if *D* is an integral domain, then an **absolute value** is any mapping | ⋅ | from *D* to the real numbers **R** satisfying:

**valuation** or **norm** instead of "absolute value".
