Question about Human Touch Massage Chair HT-7120 - Butter PU Synthetic Leather

1 Answer

HT-7120 massage roller assembly travels down full length, but won't come back up. You can hear the motor run. It's as if the limit doesn't cause roller assembly to travel back up.

Better to show your massage chair to some expert. For the time being you can use a vending massage chair.

The motor that moves up and down the back does not work.

That motor is located at the base of the backrest unit. It operates a lead screw drive that positions the kneading/tapping motors and rollers. The motor is controlled by the PCB unit that covers the length of the back of the massaging unit. Human Touch will not sell individual replacement parts. They will sell only the entire backrest assembly for $600 plus $60 shipping. It can be replaced without tools in less than five minutes.

THE MODEL IS EP578.ROLLERS DONT MOVE BUT MOTOR IS FUNCTIONING.LIGHTS IN THE REMOTE ARE BLINKING ALL TOGETHER THEN THE MACHINE STOPS.

I found with my Panasonic EP578 that, if the lower photo sensor limit switch gets too dusty, the massage mechanism will travel downwards past the normal range of motion and the electronics will time out because the unit did not get a down limit sensor signal & reverse direction and proceed back to the upper limit switch in time. With the device unplugged, I simply removed the grommet screws and opened the fabric backing. Then I removed the units cover and Then blew out dusty photo sensors with compressed air. Then I swapped the red and green, 2-pin mag clutch coil connector plugs so that when I switched the unit on again I could make the unit travel back up to about, the scapular position. The reason that this is possible is that when you first start a normally working machine, the first thing that happens after the motor turns on, is that the motor clutch for the mechanism that provides the neck and vertebral massage balls, also energizes. I figured that I could get the voltage at that connector to energize the rolling clutch to get the unit back up again (as you can't move it by hand). Then I turned the unit off (while stile in cycle) and the swapped the mag-clutch coil connectors back to their original position. Re-starting the machine causes the moving massage mechanism to go through it's Power On Routine which realigns everything to it's 'Home' position and ready to run a fully functioning cycle. Remember to unplug the machine when working on it and keep all fingers, necktie, hair, jewelry from moving mechanism when it's moving to avoid damage to the machine and bodily harm to yourself!

Calf and foot massager does not go up and down. Switch clicks, motor hums, piston does not move. What do you think? Thanks, Brian Shore 315-956-2065

It sounds like the piston assemby might be jammed. The motor will hum since it's trying to run, but will just buzz if the output isn't turning. Otherwise, it could be a broken part in the piston assembly. You will have to partially disassemble the chair to see what's going on. If it's under warranty, contact Human Touch. The same for replacement parts.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

The rollers will not go up and down anymore; looked inside and everythink seems intact

Your set up is most probably: an electric motor turns a worm gear that turns a large spur gear that turns a smaller spur gear that rides on a rack gear. The smaller spur gear (pinion) that rides the rack (yes, as in rack-n-pinion), allowing the up-and-down travel of the massage balls, has broken teeth which may not be visible because it's hidden under the larger spur gear. They are all plastic gears with lots of white grease.

My Liftmaster Professional 1/2 hp unit opens to the correct limit, however, after it stops, it starts to slide back a few inches, the motor engages and pulls it back up, it slides, it pulls it back up,...

there are internal limit switches that look like little plastic wheels on a screw. if these wheels dont push the buttons in on either side as it travels it will try to keep traveling see if you can locate these plastic wheels and the switches they push in both the full up and full down position and make sure they are actually pushing the levers

The power led light keeps flashing

Hi.
Give it a good 'knock' on the back (hard surface). You might hear a clink sound. I think it's when a cog gets out of line. My chair is fine now. You'll notice that the rollers start moving back to the off setting. So if it goes off and they are in the middle or top then it's stuck and needs a thwack!
