I have a Kodak 1063 digital camera. When I try to transfer pictures from camera to computer not all pictures are being transferred. Instead I receive the following message, "Some pictures were already in your collection and were not transferred again." Of course, these are NOT duplicate pictures. How can I correct his situation without losing my pictures? And, why is this happening?

I'm curious, do you know WHY the camera does this? Does it have anything to do with deleting pictures and having same doc names? (This was a response someone else posted.)
It's very hard to troubleshoot software problems online, and it likely is a software issue. But why put up with the headaches of bad software in the first place? Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:

I have inserted an 8GB card into a 2005 PowerShotSD450, and the Camera indicates it is locked, but it works in a newer camera. Is it too big for the camera, or is there a solution?
