Question about Heating & Cooling
I have an LG LW6012ER window unit. I lost my remote along time ago and for some reason today the actual control panel on my a/c stopped working. The off button doesn't even work. Is there like a reset I could do or something?
Hi Gina, Try turning off the unit at the electrical panel. turn off switch, wait 15 min. turn switch back to on position. Turn on AC unit. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: LG Spilt A/C
there is a lot of reason why your LG split unit would not work by remote control.
first likely trouble is the remote itself. it could have drop from a height and broke the remote, or corrosion has set inside the remote if you left an old battery for a long time and it could have broken it.
secondly which is not more likely to happen is the remote receiver in your unit got broke that is why it can not communicate with your remote controller. it could happen if someone has serviced your evaporator and could have disconnected wires to the receiver , or wires were just left not connected.
you can test the remote if you have an identical unit which is working with a working remote. use the working remote to your unit then you can decide.
i hope i was able to help.

SOURCE: LG SPLIT SYSTEM AC.
Fixed fault by not only switching off AC unit at power point, had to pull out plug top & lead from wall for one minute. This must allow electronics to reset.

I have a dometic duo-therm. The unit works great and fan blows strong and both high and low work., but air is coming out of the ceiling unit rather than the duct work. The bedroom unit works OK, but the air is strong out of one duct, and not much comes out of the others. The front unit only has air coming out on the A/C unit and none out of the ducts.

The "CO" indicates cleaning operation and can be switched of via remote button under flap, labelled AUTO CLEAN.
