Wheres the ingnition control module on a 2001 ford f150


With cop ignition, two wire ignition coil, ic control is in the pcm.
Voltage to the coil goes hot when you turn on the key, fuse protected. Your computer controls the coil ground circuit. I'm not sure about engine size?

Ignition Coils/Modules
The electronic ignition system uses an individual ignition coil for each cylinder. There are two separate ignition module assemblies located in the camshaft cover of each cylinder bank. Each ignition module assembly contains an ignition control module and four ignition coils. Each ignition coil connects directly to a spark plug using a boot. This arrangement eliminates the need for secondary ignition wires. The ignition module assemblies receive power from a fused ignition feed. Both ignition module assemblies connect to chassis ground. A Reference Low and four ignition control (IC) circuits connect each ignition module assembly to the PCM. The PCM uses the individual IC circuits to control coil sequencing and spark timing for each ignition coil. The IC circuits transmit timing pulses from the PCM to the ignition control module to trigger the ignition coil and fire the spark plug. The PCM controls ignition system sequencing and timing events

I have had the ignition module fail 5 times in the past year.It only happens when i go to start my car.What might be the problem?


If this concern is encountered, inspect circuits 406 (IC Control for 2/3 Coil) and 423 (IC Control for 1/4 Coil) for an intermittent short to ground or poor connection on either end. Depending on the model, these circuits may short on the AC lines near the AC compressor, on the transmission mount, or on the transmission lines where they enter the transmission. If there is no problem found with these circuits, inspect the ignition control module ground to ensure that it is clean and tight.

If there is no problem found after performing the suggestions above and the SI diagnostics lead to ignition module replacement, replace the ignition module as directed but also replace all of the spark plugs and clean the ignition module ground to possibly prevent future ignition module damage. ( use OEM plugs) Before installing the new ignition module. If the spark plugs are worn sightly or have a high resistance They will cause the ignition module to repeatedly fail.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

The television picture just went out in the middle of watching it. The audio is still working.


I would be concerned about the convergence board. I have repaired a few of these and by now you have several bad grounds in the convergence board.The convergence IC has separated its pins from the board. I can not say enough about bad grounds here. They are too numerous to even begin. One will have to pull this board very carefully, this is no easy task. Examine it very, very close. You will find several bad grounds, power resistors, diodes. the IC itself, jumpers, and jumper jacks that connect the boards, transistors, capacitor grounds, any other IC that is attached to heatsinks etc. The other board will be the power supply board and it will have many bad grounds here as well. The vertical IC can be a culprit, as the pins on here have separated as well. Once again look for bad solder grounds on the flyback. horizontal transformer, transistors,diodes and the like. Always inspect the pins on ICs attached to heatsinks. I know this sounds like a lot of work and it is. But with patience it may be done. You soon learn why they charge a lot for repairs. The audio board is at fault. Take the unit in for repairs at any car dealership. They can send it out for repairs to any center that repairs radios for cars

My magnavox tv has sound but only a white line


You have a bad ground or even a bad vertical IC. Have a tv tech pull the board out and inspect. It could be bad grounds and resoldering them may restore the picture. Also remember to check all capacitors in the immediate area of this IC, bad caps will heat up the vertical IC, and cause bad grounds. Replace the caps and Vertical IC as needed. Should be a standard fix in this case. Thanks for asking!

JVC AV-36D502: Input #3 doesn't work


Good day sir, its a different issue, about the capacitor, for as long as your replacement part is correct, it will work, now, there are several things you should check, the I/O device that controls the inputs of the TV, usually an IC, check your schematic diagram to trace the fault. check also the line from the input 3 to the controller IC on your diagram. Measure the voltage across the IC Vcc to ground if the IC is getting the right power, Low voltage can be cause by faulty capacitors, on the power supply line, or the IC itself is faulty, Circuit analysis and voltage measurements are needed to trace the faulty part. hope this helps thanks.

The monitor led is green but it gives white flash and still blank


Check the volatage regulator in the mainboard resolder all you found dried unsolder parts inside mainboard. Voltage test the regulator IC if have a voltage flow 2.5 to 5v DC. check ribbon cable connector from mainboard to controller board if properly connected. In the controller board find the small fuse test it for open.
Reminder:
When you voltage test in the power board
in the primary section of power supply
use hot ground. Do not use the hot ground
when you voltage testing the secondary
power supply, mainboard and controller
because it will cause of damage
semiconductor. For safety use cold ground
for secondary, mainboard and controller
board.

Hi

You must focus to mainboard of LCD monitor find the voltage regulator IC. Voltage test the regulator IC use digital or analog multimeter range 10v dc connect the negative to cold ground, these regulator providing a constant supply of 2.5 - 5v to all IC in the mainboard. check the scalar IC. Because scalar IC will convert analog input signal of Red, Green & Blue. Lastly check the controller board, check the ribbon cable connector from mainboard to
controller board for lose, check the fuse inside controller. I think the exact problem of your monitor could be either the (mainboard) or (LCD panel where the controller board is located).
