I figured out the solution for this issue. It all has to do with the threading. And I mean literally follow the instructions word for word. Most importantly is the Bobbin thread. make sure to thread the bobbin through the case eyelet.

If you remove the metal plate on the bottom of your machine, you can see the workings of the feed dog raise and lower button. With some luck it just might be a screw that came out or it might be a broken spring inside the sewing arm.
Without a service manual or a view of what it should look like inside when it is functioning correctly, at best you would just be guessing. It should be a simple 5 min fix but it is best to take it to a Bernina dealer for proper repair. Good luck, bushvideo

Hi, possibly your feedogs are dropped and in the darning position and/or its thinking you want to embroider and there is NO hoop attached or entire embroidery unit plugged in. Check your feedog button below the handwheel on the bottom.

It's NOT a good answer!! Sounds to me like you have an short in the wiring. Unplug the machine and check all the wiring connections. Replace any frayed wires and make sure the connections are solid.
