Question about Samsung Cell Phones
I'll need some more information, such as what model of samsung phone you have, what carrier, is the phone locked?
However a general reason for this kind of problem is that the sim card is either not activated or isn't being recognized by the phone due to a bad/broken sim reader.
I would recommend bringing it to a repair shop near by or call your carrier (from another phone ofcourse) and ask them to fix it(if it's under warranty).
Other than that if it worked before and just randomly stopped, I would check for water damage inside the phone if you're comfortable opening it.
If you bought the phone under a year a ago, I would say send it to warranty, but that will take an average of 2 weeks. Bringing it to a repair store will take a week or less depending on the store.
If you know what model/carrier/lock statues your phone is, post back because it might just be incompatible with what you're trying to use it on(carrier wise).

SOURCE: my xperia 10 is puk
Hi the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not any code to do with the phone, all you need to do to get the PUK code is call your service provider.
your service provider wont charge for giving you the code as the code belongs to you, all you need to tell them is your phone number or if you dont know that then the number printed on the sim card, they will then provide you with the 10digit PUK code for free over the phone.
this will then allow you to access the sim card.
The only place you can get the PUK code from is your service provider as their is no where else that keeps these codes, if you still have the card the sim card was attatched to then it will be written on their but if you no longer have this then the only way your going to get the code is by calling your service provider, they wont charge you for this as the code belongs to you,
you do have another option open to you though, if you dont need that sim card then you can go out and get another sim card and when you get given a new sim card you will get given the unique PUK code it will be written on the card the sim card is attatched to.
let me know if you need further assistance ok.
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks,.,.,.,.
