It is important that you are taught how to do this rather than just getting the answer :>)

By itself, nothing. There are an infinite number of fractions with the same numerator, and any fractional number can have an infinite number of representations, each with a different numerator.

For example, consider the numerator "2". The fraction could be 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6, 2/7, etc.

Now consider the fraction "2/3". It can also be written as 4/6, 6/9, 8/12, 10/15, 12/18, etc.

Convert each mixed number (what you call mixed fraction) to an improper fraction, then multiply the two numerators and multiply the two denominators. Reduce the resulting fraction to its simplest form

Example

(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)=?

Convert 2 1/3 to an improper fraction 2 1/3=2+ 1/3 = 6/3+1/3=7/3

Convert 1 5/7 to an improper fraction 1 5/7=1+ 5/7 =7/7 +5/7=12/7

(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)= (7/3)*(12/7)= (7*12)/(3*7)

The 7's in the numerator and denominator cancel one another leaving

12/3=4

**(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)=4**

Not all products of mixed numbers will give a simple result as this one. More likely they will not.

Example

(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)=?

Convert 2 1/3 to an improper fraction 2 1/3=2+ 1/3 = 6/3+1/3=7/3

Convert 1 5/7 to an improper fraction 1 5/7=1+ 5/7 =7/7 +5/7=12/7

(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)= (7/3)*(12/7)= (7*12)/(3*7)

"Prime Factorization" is finding **which prime numbers** multiply together to make the original number.

Example : What are the prime factors of 12 ?
It is best to start working from the smallest prime number, which is 2, so let's check:

12 ÷ 2 = 6

Yes, it divided evenly by 2. We have taken the first step!

But 6 is not a prime number, so we need to go further. Let's try 2 again:

6 ÷ 2 = 3

Yes, that worked also. And 3 **is** a prime number, so we have the answer:

**12 = 2 × 2 × 3**

As you can see, **every factor** is a **prime number**, so the answer must be right.

Note: **12 = 2 × 2 × 3** can also be written using exponents as **12 = 22 × 3**

Hi,

LG products usually have a 12 character serial number format, comprising mixed letters and numbers, e.g:**123ABCD45678**.

If you can find a number on the manufacturers sticker consisting of, 3 numbers, then 4 letters, then another 5 numbers (as above), this will be the serial number.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

BElectric

Sounds like it’s just a process of elimination there is only 12 different ways you can mix the numbers on a three digit sentry safe combination. Just try all 12 it has to open unless you are dialing it incorrectly. Sentry Safe dialing instructions.
