Question about Onkyo DX-C390 6-Disc CD Changer

1 Answer

I have a DX-2500 CD player and the door will not open ... I removed the 4 cover screws and can se the plate trying to engage but will NOT come up high enough to open the door. If I gently depress the back of the plate down far enough the door opens and will close when pressing the Open/Close button. Is this something I can fix on own???

SOURCE: Onkyo 6 disc cd changer DX-380 has CD stuck under carousel

This has just happened to us. Often when the changer tries to select a CD on random play, it somehow knocks one CD off the carousel, usually on top of the other 5 CDs and then you can retrieve it easily. This time it knocked it down behind the carousel so the drawer could not close. We left the drawer open, carefully took the player out and tipped it upside down and then tipped it forward. We then closed the drawer while it was still upside down and then turned the player back up the right way. The loose CD fell onto the carousel and we could then open it and retrieve the CD. No damage to either CD or changer and we are now listening to music again!

SOURCE: it is a 3 cd

Fixing slide racks are usually considerably affordable to fix. This is so because the mechanism which controls the rack is usually made up of various components and fixing it usually entails just the replacement of only a few of those components and most time usually it is the propeller which need replacement. And in some rare cases one of the pulley teeth.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hi, W/D here.

Easy fix. Your upper locking bar has slipped. While someone is holding the door handle in the open position, you'll need to push the upper lock bolt back far enough to get the door open. You can slide it back carefully with a screwdriver or knife, a little at a time, while holding slight tension on the door with the handle. OK, door's open. Remove the inner door lock cover plate. The lever and locking knob will come off with it. Remove the mortise cover plate, on the edge of the door. Insert a small, thin bladed into the upper alignment slot in the lock behind the mortise cover plate, and loosen the upper allen screw behind the inside lock cover plate. Use the screwdriver to engage a slot in the locking bar, and raise or lower the bar until you have it level with the alignment slot. Tighten the allen screw.
Sometimes, the bar is so far out of alignment that you will have to gain access to the other end of the bar, in order to raise or lower it. This is done by removing the plastic cover on top of the door, and using needle nosed pliers to move the bar.
This should fix you up.

Best regards, --W/D--

How do you remove am/fm cd player from 2005 ford focus

There is a plastic "plate" surrounding your CD player; on the back of this "plate" there are 4 plastic guide/retainer pins about 3/4 of an inch long. Generally located in the 4 corners of the "plate." With that in mind, using a taped-up, flat-headed screw driver(tape the flat end as to not scratch the interior trim) and simply and ever so lightly, pry the coin dish(below the "plate" mentioned above)out and away from the dash, opening a hand sizes hole. From that hole using the same screw-driver, using the same technique, remove the plate; being oh so careful because the temp control knobs, cig lighter, etc, come out attached to the "plate."
You will notice, I believe, 4 small octagonal plastic bolt heads protruding from the area right next to the player......remove those bolts, unplug radio and whalll-laah..

Cabin filter

1 Tools needed are a Phillips screwdriver and a socket wrench. Open door to passenger side of vehicle. 2 Under the glove compartment is a kick plate cover held in place by four screws. Remove the screws and take off cover. 3 The door to the cabin filter is now visible. Remove screw in door and unhinge. 4 Remove the first filter by pulling straight down. Remove the second filter by sliding forward and pulling down. Replace with clean cabin filters. Reattach door and kick plate cover.
Good luck and hope this helps.

A dvd is stuck in my Chrysler town and country multi disk dvd/ cd player. How do I remove it?

Look around the face plate for a very small hole...use a straightened paperclip or equivalent and press in a few inches...its a manuel door release and you should gain access to at least the loading tray.

hello, there should 4 little black screws on the top of the cd tray when it is removed from the deck. two of them are on the rear top in black plastic. the other two are holding the silver plate down as well. remove those four screws. the top should slide off. after that is off, you should be able to see how the disc is being secured. careful not to pry any thing it should all come apart. good luck.
