These gaskets are press fitted on to the slot as the sealing gasket.
So procure the orginal part fromt he dealer for the size, remove by using a blunt screw driver, clean off the grooves all along the door, then place the head tip of the gasket and push into the slot.
The end should be made to merge correctly before it is cut.

SOURCE: I have an Admiral designer

There are 3 models of this unit:
HMG651580
HMG651581
HMG651587

That does not matter for hooking up water. Look on the back of the unit. You should see a 1/4 inch copper tube sticking out with a black rubber cap. Pull off the cap and connect your water supply using an icemaker connection kit available at any hardware. Most kits come with instuctions but it really rather simple. The key is to ensure there are no leaks at the saddle valve or compression fittings when your finished.

If you do not see a copper tube sticking out... carefully remove first the right side of the lower rear fiberboard cover and look for a water valve connection. It is usually on the rt side but since this unit is actually made by Sharp... I am not sure. Check both sides.

The kits run from around $10.00 for the plastic line kits and up to $35.00 for the copper line kits.
All kits use compression fittings and saddle valves for making the water connections. It is recommeded that you also install an external in line water filter even if your refrigerator has an internal filter. The external filters are dirt cheap compared to the internal filters and will make the internal filters last 5 - 6 times longer.

I need to know the cubic feet of my Admiral refrigerator model #CNS22V8 serial #KT39003573 Thank you

The details are not available online. Measure it yourself. Measure (in feet to nearest 3") width and multiply by depth, and then multiply that by the height.

1 foot 3" is 1.25
1 Foot 6" is 1.5
1 Foot 9" is 1.75

1.75 x 1.5 x 4 is 10.5 cu ft

I have a admiral fridge designer series # HMG 62186 that I purchased in 1997. It has always had popping sounds and sparks behind the drawer in the freezer. A repairman told me this was normal, so I...

Hello WIntersno,

I understand that your refrigerator is sparking behind the freezer drawer and you would like to know if this is a fire hazard. In my opinion it would be a fire hazard as plastic and rubber is flammable and the repairman is not true in saying that this is normal. A refrigerator should never spark as this is also an electrical hazard. I would suggest having another repaid man come out and fix the problem or purchase a new box.
