Question about Toshiba TZ61V61 61" Rear Projection Television
This is probably NOT a chip. Put the model number in a search engine with the words "power supply"

Here's a solution that I received from an TV expert in another website: "This sounds like a power supply problem. i have seen it several time on
your model. i would not keep trying to turn it on it might damage
something else in the tv. the reason it is shutting off is because the
power supply is putting out too much voltage. a repair cost will range
around 300-400. this is a great model and well worth a repair. here is
a web site that might help you in finding a repairman.
http://www.nesda.com/locator/state_search.php." <-- $300-$400 is too much! But throwing away a 300lbs TV will cost a lot of $$$ for the towing and dumping too. I haven't decide what to do yet.

Likely to be the STK convergence chips causing a protection circuit to switch the TV off. Have you got any onscreen convergence problems (i.e, colour fringes)?

Have you replaced the lamp before? if not i might be going out, but if you have, there's a possibility that the ballast is sending irregular voltage to the lamp, which causes it to got out :)

Recheck all of your solder connections for bridging and cold solder joints. Check the large output resistors under the heat sink and the smaller ones to the left of them. Check all of the fuses on the power board. And make sure that you check all of your connectors carefully. Also check that you didn't pinch a wire somewhere.
I am not being mean by saying that if you could power up before then more than likely the power up issue was caused by something you did.
