Kenmore gas range convection fan not spinning

My convection fan is not spinning when I run convection mode. It came with the house and I'm not sure if it ever worked. There is no voltage across the fan. I traced it back up to the PCB (Stamped with electrolux es52x_36x). Anyways I was checking the board over and something obvious jumped out. There is a wiring harness on there with three spots in it. There are three hookups - Broil, Bake, Conv - and there is no wire plugged into the Conv spot. So am I completely missing a wire that should be hooked into there, and if so how do I find where it should go so that I can add one in? The only other wire on the board with the same interface that would push into the wiring harness is also shown in the picture at left plugged into a spot labelled P5 / LX. I figured this might be the ticket so I unplugged the wiring harness and stuck it on the conv spot and fired it up with no love. Any help greatly appreciated.. thanks! Steve

Model number is 970-339334 although when I google it the only result is an electrolux one, not kenmore elite and the control panel doesn't look the same. Presumably it's the same oven though. Also the was a part number on the control board that I didn't notice before - 3164627.

SOURCE: Re:Electric Convection oven does not heat up. Convection fan works, light works.

It is probably and electrical service issue. If this is a North American unit, it uses two electrical circuits to provide power. You must find and reset the breakers and check that the wiring is operating as intended. Less likely: It could also be a manufacturing defect. DeLonghi uses screw compression connections on some products. Sometimes, they don't work well.

The convection fan is wired through the door switch make sure your door switch is o.k. before replacing the board or the fan. Please have a local service tech check unit if you have to get into any electical checks. good luck

Kenmore Elite Gas Oven f1 message

Hi

Error code F1 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Bottom of kenmore oven pitted

Baked on debris causes this. The spots are from food sitting there without being cleaned.

Fan starts slow or not at all.

This is usually an indication that either the motor capacitor is bad or the start centrifugal switch in the motor is bad or, possibly both. Spinning the motor bypasses the starting process. Capacitor are fairly inexpensive, I'd do that first. If start switch is bad, motor has to be replaced. Not a cheap motor either.

Convection oven no longer works

Could be the fan trying to start, ,if there is a removable cover in the back of the oven, remove it and see if the fan is free to spin, could be a tight bearing , or it could be stuck with a build up of grease.
