Question about Acer Veriton 5600GT PC Desktop
I recently bought an Acer Veriton 5600GT in an online auction. (Great machine so far) I cannot get the motherboard to accept a new video card in place of the on board video chipset. I put a new card in and the machine looses the video output so I am not sure it even boots up - no BIOS screen, no startup screen. I cannot get the audio to come out the onboard sound card port. It will only come through the internal speaker. Is there some motherboard DIP switches I need to change? Is there a motherboard manual I can download? Andrew
Hi Andrew, The manual for Acer Veriton 5600 series is available at the Product User/EndUser Website (Downloads) at http://csd.acer.com.tw. The filename of the manual is VT5600series_EN_0403.pdf Re add-on video card - select video card to be used in your CMOS/BIOS. Press "Del" during the bootup process. Alternately, you casn run the built-in diagnostic to diagnose any system changtes such as an add-on video card. Re onboard soundport - try either the front or the rear line/speaker out. Verify that the drivers are properly installed in your Device Manager. By default, when you have an external speaker, the internal auto cuts-off. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
