The only way is if the Xbox detects it (that's why they make their own), because they have a list posted on xbox.com that states only very few non-microsoft wireless dongle's work with the xbox.

SOURCE: laptop-dongle connection

Is your "dongle" a 3g modem? 3g modems are often rated at speeds which are practically impossible to reach. Your connection speed will vary depending on the weather, the materials your house is made of and how strong the signal is from the base station. You might notice that your upload speed is especially poor, this is normal for 3g modems. That being said, there are a few things you can do to improve the situation. You can try to get the modem near a window with a better signal, you can install a program like FDM (www.freedownloadmanager.org) which makes a huge difference for download speeds on a g3 modem (I get 50kbps downloads without the program, 400kbps downloads with it). If all else fails you can contact T-Mobile and report a problem with the network - again, it worked for me.

Connect your 3g mobile broadband to an xbox360!

Have you ever wonder if you could connect your 3G mobile broadband modem to your xbox360? Well i have done it and it works fine.

What you will need to do is enable network sharing in your laptop/pc

I am using a vista laptop and orange mobile boradband, and this is how i done it!

First of all connect your 3G modem to your laptop/pc as you normaly would. Now get an ethernet cable and plug this into your laptops ethernet port and then into the back of your xbox's ethernet port.

Click on start> connect to> Then you will see "open network and sharing center" Click that. In the next window you will find all networks connected to your laptop/pc. You will see one below your normal internet connection called unidentified network. Click "view staus" Now in this window click and go to properties. now in this window click on the network tab at the top of the window. While now in this window click on enable network sharing via this device. Now go to your xbox360 and try to connect to Xbox live if at the first atempt it did not work test your connection via xbox as it will ask you to do this anyways. You should now be eable to connect to xbox live using your 3G modem.

Hope this helps!

How to connect to xbox live with laptop xp and dongle no router

You have to enable internet connection sharing on your laptop. Go to Start-->Control Panel-->Network Connections.
A screen will pop up with all of your NICs (network interface cards). Right click your dongle and select Properties.
At the top of the new window you will see an Advanced tab. Select that tab, and then check internet connection sharing.
You may or may not see an additional drop down menu that will allow you to select the interface to share with. If you do, select the Ethernet connection and then apply.
Connect your XBOX by Ethernet to your laptop. You may have to test the connection through your XBOX network setup.
If you have a firewall, you may have to allow this new connection, and do additional changes to your firewall in order to adjust your NAT (network address translation), however, I have been able to play on live with limited NAT.
***** IMPORTANT***** Make sure you have unlimited data through your provider or you will get an outrageous bill. I have Clear wireless on an unlimited plan, and it works fine. If you have Verizon, you will be sorry when your next bill arrives.

Can i connect to xbox live using vodafone mobile broardband usb stick

hi there,
you can't connect the usb stick to the xbox directly, but you can connect your xbox to your pc/laptop with the broadband usb stick in your pc/laptop and share the connection. while this will work, it's not going to be very fast and if you intend to play games online there will be a big lag. But it's better than nothing if that is all you have for internet connection. Anyway here's how. connect your laptop to your xbox using an ethernet cable, and have your usb dongle in your pc/laptop connected to the internet.
now depending on what os(operating system) you have on your computer, navigate to control panel>network and sharing>manage network connections.
once in here you want to enable sharing on your connection and tick the box allow other users to connect through this computers connection. then you want to select local area connection on the home network connection menu.
now you can test your xbox live connection to see if it connects to the internet, if it does happy gaming :)
If it fails, try making your connection to a public rather than private connection. If this method fails, try restarting your pc/laptop and then your xbox and go through the process again.
I know this can be tricky and alot of trial and error, but if this is all you have to connect to the internet and you really want to get online then it will be worth the effort. Hope this helps.

Dont no how to setup my xbox live using a t-mobile dongle in my pc???

Okay, here's what you do. Set up the dongle in your PC so internet is running.

Now Connect your Xbox to your PC with an ethernet cable.

Next Go to Start> Control Menu>Network Connections

Choose your internet of choice
Right click it
Choose properties
Click the Advanced tab
Check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"

Now try connecting to Xbox live. If that doesn't work go to Xbox Live Network settings and test connection.

Hope this helps you
