Put in a new needle. Thread machine with same thread top and bottom. Set upper tension to default (4/5 usually) and sew in straight stitch with needle in default position (usually centre) some times left. Turn hadwheel by hand towards you for the first two stitches to ensure needle not hitting hook or driver. If machine sews find, then try the zig zag. If both these are good, timing is good. If not, and stitches are skipping or not forming, it could be a timing issue and you should take it to a tech

My upper thread wont pick up the bobbin thread suddenly. How do I fix that problem?

Install a brand new needle. A bent/dull/damaged needle sometimes will not pick up bobbin thread.

Check that the needle is installed facing the correct direction.

Also check that the bobbin is wound smoothly, the bobbin is turning the correct direction in the bobbin case, and the bobbin tension is threaded correctly.

If it still will not pick up the bobbin thread, there is most likely a timing issue, ie the needle is arriving at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread. Search the internet for sewing machine timing discussions or take it for service.

I have juki 5550. needle is broken again and again. how to adjust shuttle?

Check that you have been using the correct needle for your machine and that it is installed correctly. If that all checks out, most likely the broken needles have caused the machine to be knocked out of time. There are multiple web sites and videos that explain sewing machine timing if you want to try to address the problem yourself, or take it for service.

Needle is hitting the hook. I have changed the needle. It is in the correct position. How can I fix this? Thank You

Make sure you are using the correct needle for your machine. Some needles are longer than others.

Check that you have installed the needle facing the correct direction. There is a flat side at the top that needs to inserted correctly into your machine--unfortunately machines vary. Most often the flat side either faces the back of the machine or the side.

If it is still hitting, most likely your machine is out of time--the needle is arriving at the bobbin at the wrong time. Search the internet for "sewing machine timing" OR take the machine for service.

THE TOP THREAD WILL NOT PICK UP THE BOBBIN THREAD.

check to make sure the bobbin is free and turns without catching or in a knot. check the tension on your spooler....correct needle installed correctly......correct thread types in both top and bottom sources.....sewing machine is rotating in the correct direction......all parts and gears are working correctly and installed correctly under the plate....

Sorry, that's all I've got for sewing machine repair work on your type of problem.

Good luck and maybe research your problem on-line on your machines manufacturers web site or in forums.

Brother Innovis 1e isn't stitching properly when the feed dogs are down

Skipped stitches
1. The needle is not inserted correctly
Remove needle & reinsert needle( flat side towards the back of machine)
2. The needle is damaged
replace with new needle
3. The wrong size needle is being used
Choose a needle to suit the thread & fabric
4. The foot not attached correctly
Check & attach correctly
5. If the above suggestions don't help then the machine needs to be checked

How do i check for correct timing

this model tends to slip timing quite easy....its about .75 of an hour to fix....a dealer would be the one to look to make sure. But 2.4 mm from bottom dead center to having the hook even with the needle is the correct timing on straight sew

Skipping Stitches My Singer Confidence machine is skipping stitches. I've cleaned the feed dogs and the stitch hook, changed needles three times, changed thread, adjusted the tension, etc.

My sewing machin sews but does not stick, the tread comes back out with the needle

Your sewing machine is not timed correctly (sound like it's ********) ... or your needle is not the correct size. Check to ensure the needle is correct first. If you are sure the needle is right and oriented correctly then it's definitely a timing issue

When I say "********" I'm not talking mental capacity... I mean the hook of the shuttle is delayed in approach and doesn't catch the loop made by the needle. To correct this you will really have to study how it works and discover how to correct it.

Or just go get it fixed by a pro.

My k6 misses threads,i't sews good then skips a few

This generally happens when the machine is not threaded properly. Check to make sure the thread is fed through the machine correctly. I have had both my Singers do this in mid-stitch. I highly recommend pulling the thread out and rethreading the machine. You may think everything looks correct, but the thread may have slipped out. Also check the bobbin. Sometimes this happens because the bobbin is not placed correctly. Make sure that the bobbin is placed correctly.
If you have checked the threading of the machine and you still experience skipping, it might be a timing issue. Have you recently broken a needle? If it is a timing issue, I would recommend bringing the machine in to your local sewing machine repair store. This is not something I would recommend fixing yourself.
Good luck!
