Need to unscrew or unclip the board and pull out the back. it will be screwed down to the plastic case. and have the wires plugged into it. remove it all and replace.

its on a sliding plate there is a change in some models old type or should i say first of line is screwed in by 2 screws right side of the tv looking at the back. new type is two clips you pull them up and pull back at the same time and the it slides out.

SOURCE: Need new ballast, I think... Where do I get one?

Some TV models require an input signal for it to work..Before you look to replace the ballast, try plugging in your cable service or a DVD/VCR/CD and see if this activates the TV...

Hope that helps..

SOURCE: ballast replacement

Your set uses the Phillips UPH100W 1.3 100http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ 1amp bulb part number 6912V00006A which uses Ballast EUC 6913V0002A and the actual ballast isMB03CA part number 6871VSMB13F I would contact LG and give them these numbers. Is your ballast bad or is the BallastEUC bad? Let me know if I can help you further.

SOURCE: I have a LG 52SZ8R-TB

We had the same problem. One place changed the lamp but they couldnt work out why it was red and lots of shadows. Next mob said that it was the component so they replaced that. From the 28/4 till end of Oct, the TV has now switched itself off and wont come back on. Both places say its the lamp - however I cant see how in 6mths it would run out again. The people who replaced the lamp dont want to help, just said they will put in a new one at $521. This TV has cost us so far $1100 in repairs and it's only 3 yrs old. Not happy. The DVD recorder broke within the first year, the set top box broke in the 2nd yr and the surround system blew up (yes smoke appeared and we were lucky we were home) on the 13th month. Mind you our LG comp screen also shut down on the 13th month. Never again will I buy LG

I was told I need a new lamp ballast assembly. I was also told by someone to order 6913V00002C Ballast (EUC 100 P/11) but when I opened my TV and took out the "bad" ballast, its is a EUC 100 C/00. Anybody...

so the one first is an LG model ballast but the one in the tv is a phillips one, strange.. can you give me the bord number power side... it is always best to replace old number so the damaged numer one should be the number you use. LG, Philips etc use different part to make the same tv model. e.g one can be made in twain and the other from china. both the same case do the same things but have completely different parts in side. Looking at the parts on line they don't have the same connections or the same voltage so would be a bad idea to try and put the new one in with the wrong number.

I have a 2006 Thomson/RCA ModelM50WH72S TV that we have replaced the lamp, it still does not work and a technician has told us that we need a light engine for it. How can we locate one?

have the same tv,, power light blinks, book said it was bulb, bulb didnt fix it,took it to tv repair shop, they found a bad capacitor, replaced it with a higher heat range capacitor, this capacitor was on the power board for the lamp circuit, repair was $200, not bad since i paid $1500 for the tv, other than that issue, just replaced a couple of lamps

I'm having a similar issue wit a Sanyo. Installed new Sanyo lamp but when you plug it in the warning indicators show that there is no lamp detected. Ballast issue? Sanyo tech support told me this is rare. I'm not all that confident about the lamp socket. it seems to be a loose fit. Can't find any info on a reset.

The lamp fan on my LG RU60SZ30 projection TV is not working. Any idea of what type of lamp fan (part #) this is and how easy is it to replace the fan?

part # 5900V09002C
list price: $43.88

The fan itself is mounted on the light engine sub assembly. This particular model along with many LG Projection TV is very time consuming to replace anything inside the TV. You need to pretty much take the whole thing apart to get to the fan. If you know exactly what you are doing, it will take about 1 hour with the right tools. I would recommend getting an exploded view of the TV before taking everything apart which is usually available in the service manual.

if the new lamp doesn't have a problem, then it's not the ballast, it's just a bad bulb. especially if you didn't get it from infocus. the cheaper lamps don't last long. you get what you pay for.
