Question about Computers & Internet
First thing I would do is check how everything works with a different "browser". It is odd that you can skype and neatbot but not use IE.
If everything works when using a different bowser then at least you know the issue is with IE. In which case performing a reset on IE might solve the issue. (in IE - tools+internet options+Advanced)
Also there are some programs, and setting in IE, or on public networks that can limit what you can see on the internet. I use "peerblock" and I get that "cannot display webpage" error all the time if I forget to turn it off.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Ok, sounds to me like the security settings on your laptop for the wireless network card are configured in HIGH safety mode. The easiest way to resolve this is to:
1. goto control panel (start - settings - control panel)
2. open network connections
3. right click and select PROPERTIES on your wireless network connection
4. click on tcp ip (interent properties) double click it
5. goto advanced button (lower right hand side)
6. options tab
6. goto properties button for ip filter
7 uncheck (if checked) Enable ip filtering
that should fix ya up.

First do you have wireless enabled in the area you are trying to use your wireless device if not you will not be able to use it. the next thing should do is once you have your computer up and running right click on the wireless icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen(it will look like a computer with green waves coming off of it). and a box will appear labeled your wireless connection status. if your status is not connected what you need to do is click on view wireless networks in the bottom right hand corner of the box, and this will bring up a list of all wireless networks with in range of you at the point all you need to do is double click one and it will connect for you.
I hope this helped.

Google "digital gadgets.com". There find "Sylvania Products". Then click on "7 inch netbook support" and follow directions.
For item # 5, you may have to call your Internet Service Provider (Charter, AT&T or whoever you pay for your internet in order to get your "network keys" fill that in and then click "OK".
Next be sure you go to "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", "Internet Options", "General" and complete "user agent (requires browser restart" by selecting:
"Default (same as windows XP)" or
"Same As Pocket PC" or
I selected "default" and was off and running.
Although this isn't a "lap-top" it is a really neat little machine and does a lot of stuff almost like one. It should be great for travel! It is a little slow and has small memory, but it's inexpensive and usb/sd ports are onboard. A regular universal mouse helps-just plug it into a USB port. I'm doing internet, movies, word processing, etc like everything and I think a lot of people are way under-rating this fun little machine! -DKA-
