The hum is a tube that has gone weak or a volume switch that may be going out! Try a TV repair shop in your area, and call first so they can tell you if they are familiar with the old equipment!

SOURCE: record player ''ejects'' frequently!

A very common problem with vintage turntables is that the old grease on parts of the mechanism underneath gets thick and gummy like varnish and then the parts do not move freely. One must carefully free up gummy parts with WD 40 and relubricate them with 3-In-1 oil. Look for gummy slider or trip mechanism parts that are actuated by tone arm movement.

SOURCE: I just inherited an old Zenith console turntable

Hiya, check and be sure the turntable is plugged into correct inputs, "phono"

If thats OK, then probably is the stylus but could also be the cartridge itself. Check the wires on the back of cartridge make sure they are fixed properly. If all Ok, then start with a new stylus first.

Hope it helps

I bought this kit car 90% complete trying to get it started can you help me with the wiring please

As it is a project car, there will be few people that will know what wires are installed and what has been done
basic advice is , get yourself an early model work shop manual
( around 1960 vintage ) and install the basic wiring as per the wiring schematics for the starter , ignition, coil , and ignition switch
from your photo that is about all you want to get it running

Can you replace the turntable in a vintage Zenith Console sterio with a newer turntable?

Generally speaking all you need to do is find the left and right channels leads from the old deck to the amp, cut them off or if thy plug in somewhere unplug them, then you can connected the playback leads of the new deck to the amp and it will then play back.

Marantz 2220b does not play in stereo in fm mode. i doxed all pots, & knobs, adjusted pot 304 but no dice. fm light is good, lites up on aux settings

Do you have an antenna attached to the receiver? If you don't, it might not be getting a powerful enough signal to pull in stereo. Also make sure that the mono button is not pressed or faulty.
