The starter could have wornout bearings that alow is to spin when cold but when things get hot they expand and cause drag reducing the RPM to a point where it wont start.

1999 Dodge 3500 4x4. 5.9 cummins. Transmission heats to 230 when pulling in tow within 3 to 5 miles. Tranny was completely overhauled and new sensors installed. They said the flow was fine. It works fine...

Sounds like wrong hydro fluid, low fluid or restricted flow of fluid, or converter was set up wrong, could be wrong sensors, check temp with a lazer.

LOOKING FOR A BLOCK HEATER FOR COLEMAN POWERMATE GENERATOR

You can buy a battery warmer blanket and alternator heater kit, and oil heater that will screw into the oil res. Cummins have them for their units, that would probably work, if you need more help let me know.

Cold start

Obviously a sensor feeding wrong info to computer for cold start/running. Will save money in long run if you have it scanned for free at auozone, or PEP boys.

HARD TO START LIKE NOT GETTING FUEL

The van will start fine for periods of 2 - 3 weeks then will turn over & won't start. Usually within the next day or two it will start & run fine
& the cycle repeats. This has been going on since Jan. I've had it towed 5 times, looked at by 2 different mechanics & a chev dealership
mechanic. Still nobody has a clue whats going on. The van has 94,000
miles & besides this problem runs fine. I've had it for almost 7 years
without any other problems. This is beyond the point of being frustrating. I use the van for my business & its embarrasing when
I have to get it towed from a customers house. If anyone has any
ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Bob

Cummins wont start when cold

may be a check valve letting warm expanded fuel to slowly leak back to the tank causing hard start. When starting cold its harder to move the cold thick fluid. Check into it. Good luck..
