Question about Dell 1209S DLP Projector
Several possibilities come to mind: How long since the lamp was replaced? They get pretty dim from about 2/3 lie onwards.
Is there dust in the optical path? If used in a dusty environment with no or clogged filters, you can get dust coating the optical components that will dramatically reduce the light output
Is the projector being used with a good quality screen? Projecting onto a plain wall or similar service will absorb much of the light and greatly reduce brightness and colour accuracy if the wall is not pure white
Did you see the projector when it was new, or have you acquired it second hand? These are not a really brilliant projector and you may be expecting more than it can deliver or ever could deliver
These are just the main possibilities that come to mind, but I strongly suspect your solution will be in here somewhere :o)
