SOURCE: Shadow in Photos

Something on the sensor. Digicams aren't sealed and crud can get in. It's not as easy to get off as that on a dslr but Fuji can do it. Perhpas a talented and knowledgeable (on Fujis) repairman can as well.

SOURCE: Outside shots just come out white

Or do you mean a white mare? Check your manual to make sure that a setting has not been over looked. It seems as if the light metering has gone askew You should also check that you are not covering a 'window' with a finger when taking shots- thus blocking the light thus making it read low light. If all this is to no avail - check out the Fuji technical help team. But give much more detail than you have given us here

SOURCE: I cannot format cards in my Fuji S602 zoom.

Make sure your card is compatible for your camera, and or it is not defective. I know that with some camera models the card must meet specific specs. Consult your camera dealer or call Fuji photo support to verify if your card is compatible.

If you have the adabtor for your card to be used directly on your computer, you can see if formating your card with the computer will help. This is not the proper fix, but it may work for you.

What settings have you changed? Pics can be made brighter by increasing the ISO and choosing a higher setting in "exposure compensation".

Pictures are over exposed when outside

You may have the settings wrong. Check in the MENU to see if you have it set to "inside" pics rather than outside.
Also the ISO has a lot to do with the exposure. If the iso is set too low outside sunlight pics will be white or overexposed. Try setting ISO on wheel for various options select program mode button and MENU select ISO 120 or 250. These are are pretty general settings. the flash will only engage inside or outside if the light is low ( like evening) I suspect your ISO setting is at a setting that is incompatible with bright sunlight
t
Also select White Balance and move it to DAYLIGHT

take a few shots inside and out to see if there is an improvement.

Images fine inside but outside natural light images overexposed

CCD is going for Failure !

it starts like this first indoor ok and outdoor over exposed then
indoor pics also when u see them closely turns pink or green in shades then horizontal vert lines appear then completely blank

just check with casio if they have issued service advisory for the CCD failure problem as all others have issued they will do it free of charge

Adjusting light??

Did you check your settings? You may be outside of the range (red figures for speed and or f stop) in your selected mode, for example if you selected 1600 ISO for indoor shots and forgot to set it back to a lower ISO value.

Alternatively you can use AUTO mode, it's the most foolproof.

If you selected 1600 ISO don't forget, when you change the ISO to a lowe value, also put the camera back in high resolution, it stays in 1MP mode by default.

Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom - Black strip down picture

If you see the black line on your images and it is a very crisp clear line then it is an issue with the cameras image sensor. If the line is less crisp and clear then it may be a more simple of contamination in/on the lens. If the line is crisp and clear and the camera is under warranty get it fixed or replaced. If it is out of warranty look into getting the CCD component replaced at a repair facility. There is an outside chance that it is just the connector which bridges the sensor to the processing board - but that usually manifests all over the image, not just in 1 strip. Olympus C2000 picture quality

There are so many variables that effect your exposure. Batteries, ISO rating, shutter, aperture, etc. Remember your pictures are digital, and you should have a good graphics program to make adjustments (e.g. Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, Photo Deluxe, etc.). I suspect your pictures are under- exposed due to weak batteries from using the flash so much. The only batteries suitable are NiMHs. NiCad or Alkalines will not cut it.
