Question about Chips Computers & Internet
Please how can I locate the usb chip on my dell inspiron 1545 motherboard
USB is integrated into the chipset, which is under a secondary heatsink a couple inches away from the CPU heatsink.
Why do you need to do this, since it is not user serviceable nor is there any need to physically access or locate it?

Step 1 Check BIOS setting to make sure the CD is recognized by machine and is part of the Boot Order sequence. Preferably, the CD should be first in the boot order.
Step 2 Check CD cable connections to make sure they are tightly fitted into their sockets. Also make sure CD is plugged in and CD is getting power.
Step 3. Swap out cable ribbon. Sometimes these go bad. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: good day how are you
It would be difficult to figure out what the actual problem is, without having much details. Well, if the Lap is brand new, you will have to charge the battery for a specific period during it's first charge. The time for charging will be clearly specified in your manual. If you have charged it fine and since it is new, I would advice you to make use of your warranty. Go back to your dealer or contact Dell support center. Don't break any seals as it may take off your warranty.
Hope this one solved your problem. If you have additional doubts, please come back to us.
P.S: If the solution is helpful, please accept the solution.
