With most modern CTV sets, there is a service mode to adjust all the parameters to picture all other. Check these codes. If you wish to get more details, check the sites linked here. Setup code list, and setup procedure to many popular brand remote controls are given. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

DVR620KU From the HDMI connector, how to get non-pinched vertical HDMI images on the TV monitor and on the DVD. Recorded DVD's have been Finalized

Using a DVD-RW disk, try ALL different recording settings even if they don't seem probable and record a sample. If output is correct with all BUT the HDMI-cable, go through ALL picture format settings on the TV when a HDMI-cable is used. Different discs and HDMI cables don't have anything to do with this. How do you adjust vertical height on sony bravia tv

Check the aspect ratio set. If it is set to wide, there will be black bars at top and bottom of the screen. Go to its picture setting menu, and adjust the settings. If it do not help you, enter its service mode to adjust the picture height. Although this is a semi-skilled work, if you have patience and concentration, you can do this adjustment. There is no need to open the TV. If you wish to get more details about how to enter service mode, and adjust the data values there, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Vertical Stretch

You need to adjust "vertical height" in the service program. You need to put the set in "service mode" to do this adjustment. If you google "enter service mode RCA F32665" you should find the procedure. It will be listed in abbreviated letters such as VERT SIZE or VERT HT. Follow the instructions for entering service mode and saving the data closely!! The data you change will be listed as a number between 1 and 63. The number will only need to reduced by a small amount and you can still see the picture behind the data and watch it shrink as you adjust the number down.Always burn the new number to memory (if required) before exiting service mode. Good luck

I cant read the scroll on the bottom of the screen

You don't give a model number or age of the set so I can't be too specific, but there is an adjustment for picture size (it's actually termed "vertical height") in TV sets. Many newer sets make adjustments through a service menu using the remote control, but many sets have a physical adjustment control inside. I can't tell you how it is in your set, but you can take the back off and look at the circuit board. If you see a small round adjustment control (screwdriver slot for turning) marked "vertical size," "height," "vh" or something similar, that's the one. A little turn one way or the other will do the trick.

Now having said all that, it's also possible there may be bad capacitors in the set's vertical circuit. Is this a problem that just started, or that's gotten worse over time? Do you notice distortion at the top of the picture, like a person's head or other round object looking stretched out if it's at the top of the screen? If so, that's usually a sign of capacitor failure. There are a few in the vertical circuit, usually in the range of 1 to 10 mfd at 50 volts, and they commonly go bad with age. Without knowing what model TV you have I can't suggest specific part numbers.

Hope this helps or gives you a start.

My new 19 inch 1952 LG monitor stretched my display picture from what I use to have on my 17 inch. How do I adjust the height to width ratio for a picture that isn't distorted?

Right-click your desktop, click properties
go to 'settings' and select the 19 inch monitor
now change the resolution to the format you want to use.
Set it to something like 1600x1200, or 1024x768

Picture flipping

The P52940 uses the 195 series chassis. The vert/hgt control is for vertical height. It adjusts the size of the picture from top to bottom. If your picture is flipping, it most likely means that something is wrong in the vertical circuits. I have seen fluid leak out of one of the CRTs and drip down on the vertical output IC, causeing the picture to go crazy vertically. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech experienced in the RCA 195 chassis.

Picture is slightly rotated clockwise

HHHmmm Thats a weird one?? Have you moved or transported the set lately?? As it always been like this or did the problem just spring up?. Im thinking it was assembled with the yolks or the picture tube mount not level so when you lost a little bit of vertical height it shows up alot more then if the scan was correct. If it just happens after a move of some sort then the crt mount might have bent to one side a bit to cause all three tubes to move at once, cause if it wasent all three tubes you would have differant colors over the screen outlining every straight edge. Theres a little control on the sweep pcb called vert ht. Try if your brave to adjust the pic out alittle to pull the pic and make it larger BUT I will warn you if your not a tech and know electronics you could get a bad shock from the inside of this set as the set has to be on to make this adj. Also you could slip a little and thats all it will take to cause more damage then an alighnment so maybe you should inquire what a service charge will cost ya and make sure the repair person trys to adjust the vertical height before selling you a repair job as alot of techs will say its not normal for a set to lose vertical Height without a part going bad but thats not true as capacitors will sometims change value a little and throw off the height. Good Luck
