It depends on the brand of remote you purchase. Many Universal remotes expect you to have the original remote to "learn" to the universal. I think your best bet is to get the original since your unit is a multi-system. The remotes you need is Part # N2QAJB000098. Try here:

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: generic remote control

Remote transmitters have to have the program in it for the device you are trying to use it with, and the codes simply retreive the progrom, so there are no codes to install as it simply cannot be done. An original replacement can be gotten here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&m1=HT-DB600&uid=11758875673120, or the original remote from Samsung is less expensive and can be gotten here: http://www.samsungparts.com/part_detail.asp?catalog%5Fname=Parts+and+Accessories&product%5Fid=AH59%2D01169L&search%5Fmodel=HTDB600 Good Luck

How do I set the time on my Panasonic stereo system sc-en17 without the remote

Unfortunately, the clock feature is only accessed with the remote control on the Panasonic SC-EN17 with the Clock/Timer button. The original remote model number is EUR7711170. Amazon has a replacement remote here: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-EUR7711170-REMOTE/dp/B001TISTZ0. It's $24. The manual for the micro-audio system is available on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/SC-EN17.html . The direct link to the manual is currently ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/audio/om/sc-en17_en_om.PDF . Setting the time is shown on page 5.

I wish that I could provide a better solution. I hope this helps.

I would like to get a neew remote control for my stereo system model number CD stereo system panasonic SA-PM9

The Panasonic SA-PM9 indicates the main unit of the SC-PM9 CD stereo system. It came with the EUR7711140 remote. Amazon.uk has the original remote for sale here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-remote-for-PANASONIC-SCPM9/dp/B01610BYJ8 . Other sites have replacements for this remote. One vendor with the replacement in stock (today) is http://www.remote-control-world.eu/rc-for-audio-hifi-panasonic-technics-c-12_96/panasonic-eur7711140-replacement-remote-control-p-3903 .

The manual for the SC-PM9 is available from Panasonic's support for the unit. The direct link to the manual is https://panasonic.ca/PCS/OperatingInstructions/SCPM9S-OI-Eng.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have a panasonic dvd stereo system SA-PM39D and I need the universal remote control code for a zenith remote

Zenith remote control have no setup codes to panasonc DVD system. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the sites by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

! wish to be able to play any regions dvd on it is this possible

Unfortunately like many Panasonic models it's not easy to hack the region coding.

To do so requires a special engineers' remote control, and Panasonic only supply them to officially approved service centres.

Fortunately, there are some companies which will allow you to hire the correct remote control, but beware: some have a single use only, so if you get it wrong you have to pay again. Others., like this company, send an unlimited use remote set up for the exact model you wish to use it on. The fee charged costs more than the cheapest and easily hackable generic DVD players, and the deposit on the remote against it's safe return is high and requires you to have a credit card.

Please note that the link may only be of use if you're in the UK, if elsewhere you'll need to search for your own local supplier. Just Google "Panasonic SC-HT900 region hack".
