SOURCE: LCD shutting off automatically

Had the same problem with PB2140, during startup the lamp went off and power and lamp leds turned on. This happened after the projector fell down. I read a post there hat mentioned it was probably the power supply so i disassembled the projector. I found out that a small transistor of the power supply was torn away but it was still inside the projector. I found it, put it back and the projector works just fine. Thanks!

SOURCE: my benq projector keeps shutting off after about

are any of the leds lit? are the fans still running? if not, you have a power supply issue, and it needs replacing.

SOURCE: my benq projector turns on for a few minutes

if it goes through shut down mode (lamp first and fans run a while), reset the settings to factory default. while you're in the menu, check the lamp hours (under settings). if they're close to 2000 hours, replace the lamp. if the projector shuts down immediately, fans and all, you have a power supply problem. you'll need to replace it.

SOURCE: my benq projector keeps blowing lamps.

first, blow out any dust with canned air. dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. next, don't buy cheap lamps from random websites. you get what you pay for. and make sure you have the correct lamp that the manufacturer states. also make sure there is sufficient space around the projector. the vents cannot be blocked. lastly, reset the settings to factory default. many times there is a low power/full power setting. the fans go on full on high power. there should be at least 2 fans. one for the lamp, one for the optical engine. may be one for the power supply. if the one near the lamp is not blowing much, replace it.

On my projector BENQ mp511+ the green lamp keeps blinking continuously. tried shutting off the projector for a while. but no result. Please help?

I expect the lamp life is about to expire. Check your instruction book to clarify the situation.
If you haven't got one, go to the BenQ web site to down load one.
Hope this helps.
