best bet is speaking to BenQ direct - or at least where you bought bulb from and get them to take a look - does the bulb look ok or have you been unlucky and got broken bulb still?

I have a vivitek projector which produces white and black horizontal lines through the image. The menu will not display and neither will any input. What exactly is the problem? I have tried...

I've got the same problem with my NEC LT75Z DLP projector.
I am currently trying to fault find the unit, but need extender cables and special plugs and sockets to achieve this.

It will most likely be a partial power supply fault or a processor board fault, since the lamp comes on and the leds and fans operate, and the colour wheel spins correctly.

How can I connect BENQ MP510 multimedia projector with Acer Aspire one D255E notebook using windows 7? Do I need installation of extra driver for that?

Hi!

No you don't need a driver, connect it using a VGA Cable, then press FN Key at the same time with Fkeys that has a monitor screen Icon on your keyboard.

Hope this helps.

How do you reset the projector after lamp installation?

Its a pretty simple process on this particular model make sure the new lamp has been installed properly, and the power to the projector is on and then:

i. Press and hold the Up Arrow on the projector for 5 seconds to display the total used lamp time.
ii. Press AUTO on the projector or on the remote control to reset the lamp hour to "0".
iii. Wait about 5 seconds to let the OSD disappear.

That should take care of it...

CANON PIXMA MP510 WILL NOT POWER ON

I had a similar problem. What worked for me was to remove the power pack, which is secured by two clips. Slide a knife or similar to release the power pack. It will slide out to reveal a mini-plug with five red wires. Disconnect this.

This where it gets a bit uncertain. I plugged in the power pack and put a meter across the outputs. They seemed to be working (ie I was getting voltage). I had a quick look at the indide of the MP510 and decided there was nothing further I could do. I then reassembled everything and, just out of curiosity, pressed the power button again. And it came back to life!

I suspect that in your and my cases, the MP510 had "crashed" and I performed a hard reset by removing and then reconnecting the power pack. But who knows? Best of luck
