Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
My son's PSP will freeze after about 3-5 minutes. It stays frozen for 30 seconds, then goes blank.
As boogschd said, the PSP's firmware is corrupted.
It is virtually impossible to permanently brick as PSP now, especially with Pandora's Battery.

This is what we call a BRICK its when a PSP's firmware gets corrupted so it wont work there are several ways to fix this: if its still on warranty you may want to bring it to the store where you bought it you can buy a new motherboard for it bring it to sony for repairs oR use a pandora battery
