Very common situation, the main boards are all put together by robots and the small components are available to the manufacturers but not for general resale. Try an electronics store, im sure they would have what you are looking for. It may pay to take the board in. Some boards have the size / spec of the onboard parts written on the board.

The lamp power in these is a VERY clever switching supply that does NOT start driving untill a load is placed on it. It tickles the lamp and when relay closes it senses the load and fires up to typically 240 watts. The COMMON problem is that with a known good lamp installed, the socket contacts have burned and do not contact the pins of the lamp. The socket pins are hidden beneath a micalex cover and the fact they are burned away is NOT obvious. Replace the socket with one rated at 12 amps. These are hard to find but they are available.

Intimidator light wont come on

I have 6 of these in my lighting rig, and the most common problem has been a bad bulb socket. If your bulbs end up with corroded or blackened terminals, you should replace the socket. The black/corroded stuff can cause the connection to become intermittent, sometimes so badly it entirely doesn't work.

The other common problem I've seen involves a resistor on the circuit board that powers the light bulb. I believe it's R2 - regardless it's the only big one. It's value is .5 ohms at 3 watts. Be sure to use a flameproof resistor when replacing it, and most likely your fixture will light up again.

We have 2 intimidator 250 intelligent lights and one of them is "stuck" on blue. We use a program called FreeStyler 512 to control them. We have restarted the computer, unplugged the lights, and...

We can only guess at the cause without tearing into the unit. My educated guess is that either the cable to the color step motor has either come loose or a wire is broken in the cable. SInce the wires go through a flexure point, that MIGHT be where the problem is... the only way to tell is to do detailed troubleshooting of the unit.

My Eliminator E-144 runs but won't light up. I have replaced the bulbs, replaced the fuse, the fan runs, the sensitivity dial and mic work, it spins but the bulbs won't light up?

A very common problem with the small Halogen lamps at this power level is the socket contacts burn up and no longer contact the lamp pins. Check the resistance between teh slip rings (lift one brush as the motor will be in the circuit if you don't) and look for a real low resitance since you have 6000 watts of bulbs, they will draw 5 amps total when running so they are about 24 ohms hot and since incandescents are about 1/10 that when cold expect around 2.4 ohms or so. Make sure you do not handle the glass of the bulbs. I have found sockets if yours are bad at an online source as

Check which base your bulbs have though as I replace other lamps here and this may be different than yours.

Internal fuse blew and is soldered in and I can't read what is the voltage and amperage of the internal fuse on the circuit board?

The ratings are normally stamped into the end caps of the fuse. Sometimes they are a bit hard to see. Make sure you repair the cuase of the failure before replacing.

I'm looking for the pig tail or the part where the wire hooks on to the lamp

I think you have to replace the whole lamp socket as the wires are permanently attached to it. I found the sockets online with Google searching for "Socket XX" where XX is the type of lamp specified on the units. They are not expensive BUT the vendors have a minimum so I had to order 6 of them and also some spare lamps to meet the minimum. The wires of the socket you get will have to be trimmed like the original ones for length. These sockets like to burn up. Getting the screws into the socket in the lamp holder I remember is a bit frustrating.

Have 2 Chauvet Intimidator Spots. 1 no longer projects light and the bulb is not the issue. It powers up, goes thur its start up routine but will not light the bulb

This unit got a 24volt lamps that came from a transformer. Usually the ceramic contact of the lamp get damaged and corroded after some time and can be replace. You should test at the same time that the voltage is allright with a multimeter. Most sound shop keep such ceramic in stock because its always broken....
