password for what? bios or windows?
if it's the windows password, press the f8 key before windows starts and choose safe mode, choose administrator for the username and then go to user accounts and remove the password for your account.
if it's the bios password, you have to strip the laptop and pull the bios battery on the system...it looks like a large watch battery but becarefull not to break anything.

Pulling the bios battery does not work on the Lenovos - youll be wasting your time. Where did you get that information Jadestar - Ill bet you can't name one person for whom your solution works on these laptops!!???

    • You'll find that Lenovo and a lot of the forums think that anyone who has lost their password is a thief or a liar - That gets on my ****! Some people do actually forget or for some other legitimate reason don't have access to it. Of course there are some liars but not everyone is!
