I have the speakers and power adapter but i can not find the transmitter....can i purchase the transmitter only..??

any transmitter will work by RCA..... The one for the WHP141 works just fine and that headphone set w/transmiter is about 19$ on Ebay as well as other places, be aware that the transmitter will not transmit UNTIL the sound source is hooked up and the sound is high enough to trigger the transmitter into working..... do not expect the green light to come on simply because it is plugged in, because it wont.....also if the sound is not high enough from the source the sound will cut in and out......notice also that the transmitter power supply is the 19 Volt one, and the tip is - and the out side ring is the + reversed of what many after market power supplys are.........the cool thing is the gain of a set of decent head phones as well as being able to use the many people fail to even READ the instructions and think that the units are defective because the green light does not stay on when pluged in......pays to read.....

I have the advent wireless speakers, aw820 and they work if the CD is playing and the receiver is set to CD. However, when i use my ipod (with the receiver set on TAPE) then the WIRELESS speakers will not...

I do know that the transmitter would not transmitt the HD audio. I had to also hook up the analog signal from my DVR and BLU RAY so the sound would get transmitted from the amp to the transmitter and on to my speakers

AR Wirells Speak Transmitter Stopped Working

Hi there ,

Let me know if you did the steps below, then we can proceed form there:

Try unplugging the transmitter from power adapter, if it also has batteries remove them. Also unplug transmitter audio cable.

Then remove batteries/unplug adapters from speakers.

Wait few minutes and reconnect the system.

This is a proper hard reset, and can fix minor problems.

If when you re connect the transmitter does not glow, or you do not have sound on one or both channels then there is a fault.

Check the transmitter audio cable, a short in there can cause troubles.

The transmitter goes dead after a short warm up. Power supply is OK, however. Unplug it for a little bit then OK for a minute. Then poof!!! $200 down the drain?

Hi Jim,

Somthing in the transmitter has become thermally intermittant. I ran across these problems quite frequently on the bench and the best way to find the defective component is to use cicuit cooler on the individual parts until you hit the troublemaker. Of course you do this while the unit is on and connected to a signal source so that when it starts to work you'll know it. There are no voltages inside high enough to worry about. Does the light go off on the transmitter when it quits??

Transmitter not working

You can 'pump up' the circuit on the transmitter by pumping the power connector in and out of of the back of the tranmitter to the beat of Beethoven's 5th: da duh duh duh, da duh duh duh, da Duh Duh.

It is a little awkward the first few times you try. You have to get the power connector in far enough each pump that the unit gets a pulse of power. It has to be pumped at the right pace, not too fast, not too slow, the beat of Beethoven's 5th is pretty quick and just right.

I have been powering our WSP155 transmitter unit on at work this way for several months. We originally had 4 sets of these, only using 1 transmitter at a time. 1 transmitter, 8 speakers. Over the course of a year or two, all of the tranmitters went bad the same way and now that I discovered how, I can make them all power on using this method, so I am pretty sure yours will power on this way too.

Reception problem

Hello, Suse! One of my closest friends had the IDENTICAL system, and had to replace TWO transmitters before getting one that finally worked long-term. (A total of three - the original, plus the two replacements.) Before making the same assumption, however, there are two simple things to check: 1) Inspect the connection between your receiver and the WSP transmitter to make sure everything is secure. 2) IF you're using the speakers with batteries, try an AC adapter instead. Batteries - even brand new ones - aren't ideal for every application. There is NO QUESTION that the WSP system - at least, the one my friend uses - performs better when connected to AC power than it does when using batteries. Good luck!

Wsp150 transmitter failure

The following alternative may solve your problem:
Check to make sure the volume on the audio source is set to a normal volume. If the volume is too low, the transmitter will not turn on.
