Want to know what the black Knob, I think called unloader valve is used

Hubert, The unloader valve is like a by pass for the water and regulates/controls water pressure and redirects water when gun trigger is released. Check the attached links, instruction and guides to learn more about Pumps/unloader, Good luck

What is a bypass unloader

According to epowerwash.com:
"The unloader valve diverts water flow into bypass when the trigger gun valve is closed. Unloaders may be designed to respond to either an increase in pressure or a change in flow. The unloader valve may also be used for variable pressure adjustment."

Pressure off and on every few seconds with my karcher 3000BH

hi there rjcomer2

here is web site for parts
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/karcher-2500-11944010-pressure-washer-parts-c-33388_33389_33973.html

sounds like you have a unloader valve problem or a crack in the pressure manifold housing between pressure outlet and unloader valve assy allowing unloader to cycle on/ off

or some dirt trapped in the unloader valve seat , make sure you have good supply of water - ie good flow from tap to pump

try cleaning unloader 1st and fitting in line tap filter

hope it helps

Sounds like the unloader valve is not working properly. The unloader typically is at the end of a tube going to the pressure switch. The unloader is tripped when the pressure switch cuts off. The purpose of the unloader is to bleed the pressure from the cylinder when the compressor cuts off so the next time the compressor cuts on it will be starting in an unloaded condition.
when the compressor cuts off you should hear a discharge of air for about 3 to 5 seconds if the switch is working properly. The unloader can be adjusted if necessary by loosening the jam nuts and adjusting the unloader towards the lever on the pressure switch.

Runtime error 365

This is a VB error right?

All i can advice is remove the unload from the event. in case, you can add a timer in your form, in the click event start the timer, and remove the objects in the Timer event (and remember to stop the Timer)

And while scanning for more solution, i bumped into this site and here's a solution that i think might help you.

  • There is an Unload statement in the Paint event for the form or for a control on the form that has the Paint event. Remove the Unload statement from the Paint event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the Change, Click, or DropDown events of a ComboBox. Remove the Unload statement from the event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the Scroll event of an HScrollBar or VScrollBar control. Remove the Unload statement from the event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the Resize event of a Data, Form, MDIForm, or PictureBox control. Remove the Unload statement from the event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the Resize event of an MDIForm that is trying to unload an MDI child form. Remove the Unload statement from the event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the RePosition event or Validate event of a Data control. Remove the Unload statement from the event.
  • There is an Unload statement in the ObjectMove event of an OLE Container control. Remove the Unload statement from the event.

Compressor wont restart because of head pressure

Piston air compressors have to unload to permit a restart, the two mot common types are an unloader valve or free air unloaders.

with an unloader valve this system uses a check valve mounted in the discharge line as it enters the tank, when the pump stops this check closes and does not permit the tank pressure to return to the pump. a unloader valve also opens to allow air pressure in the discharge line to vent, this valve is either on the pressure switch or on some models is on the pump, and is a centrifugal type.

Free air unloaders or head unloaders are a set of fingers that hold open the intake valves on the cylinders to permit the piston not to pump air against a head load, and once the pump is running the fingers retract to allow the pump to function as normal.

Compressor with head unloaders. Do I use a check valve with unloader port or a switch with a unloader on it?

Honestly you can use either. Some compressors come with both. My personal preference is the head mounted unloader valve because it's far more reliable and a lot less complicated.

However if you use a switch mounted unloader valve you can connect the tubing to either the head or the tank check valve.
Anywhere on the backside (between the check valve to the head), of the tank check valve is fine

I have a pressure washer with a faip 3 piston pump. the other day i was using it and it stopped unloading. i cleaned the unloader and it didn't help. I bought a new one and it still won't work. I e-mailed...

I think your main problem is that the unloader valve needs to be lubricated. Use the very best water resistant bearing grease you can find. If you can e-mail me a pic of your unloader assembly I can try to explain how to set it up. firehead@roges.com

I have a sticking unloader valve in my Karcher 3050. where is it and how do I fix it?

Hello:
Here is a schematic. On page 2.1, part #1 is the unloader valve. You need to remove it and lube it with a very good waterproof grease. Also insure the O-rings are in good shape and the spring action is working.
