What meaning of e7 error code on disply starway split airconditioner.

This is all I could find for E7 error code:

E7 Loss of 120 VAC power to all power module boards on the system. The system will shut down.

Look for tripped circuit breaker or tripped GFCI outlet. Any outlet wired downstream of GFCI (for example on same circuit as GFCI in bathroom) will lose power if bath GFCI is tripped.

GFCI wont reset, or, runs for 5 minutes and shuts off

Refrigerators should not be plugged into a GFCI outlet. The surge of current when the compressor starts up will trip the GFCI.

Tripping gfci

I don't know what kind of warmer you are referring to. If you are trying to run to many appliances off of the same circuit the gfci will trip. The gfci could be warn out or defective. If the warmer is drawing lots of amps or has a short that will also trip the gfci

Hello,I have an old jacuzzi vectra II hot tub (1988) 120 volt.the gfci on the unit trips every time the pump is on low speed with the thermostat calling for heat. there is no trip when there is no demand...

ok so when the pump is on high and the heater is running it doesent trip? you didnt say if it did. undo the heater leads so the pump is isolated completely. run the pump on the control centers gfci and see if it trips. if it does then try wiring directly - with an extension cord to a plug with a gfci in your house and see if it trips the gfci in your bathroom. if no trip inside house then bypass tubs gfci and run it with heater and pump through your bathroom gfci. if no trip then try and replace the tubs gfci, it gets pretty humid in the control center and gfci's have a semiconductor which which do fail after years of rough duty like that. if it trips the gfci in your house with the heater again it has a cracked heater element. craigslist always has old hot tubs and parts. you might have to buy a whole used old hot tub but that may be cheaper than a new heater box.

I Kenmore elite upright freezer

This could be caused by any number of things. Could be a grounded compressor. If you remove all leads from compressor and test from terminal to body of compressor with an ohm meter you should get no reading on your meter. ( or a very high meg ohm reading) If the neutral wire from the cord ( usually white) is in any way touching a grounded component then the GFCI will trip. If you have a bad defrost heater going to ground it could trip the GFCI. I assume this unit has ran on this GFCI before? You could buy a GFCI tester, that will tell you if the GFCI is tripping at the desired mA level. A GFCI should trip between 4-6mA. Have you plugged this freezer into a non GFCI receptacle to see if the unit functions?

2006 Chevrolet Duramax block heater trips on a ground fault circuit but works on an unprotected breaker. Why does it work on one but not the other? Will this damage any truck circuitry?

Hi Funny,

If a GFCI trips or causes a breaker downstream to trip, something needs to be altered. Do not by pass a GFCI. It is designed to save lives and property.

It's drawing a lot of current. The most likely cause is the cord you are using is too light (14ga. or higher) or too long.

Depending on the length, extension cords should be 12ga, minimum, preferably 10 ga. When in doubt, go heavier.

The block is supposed to heat up, not the wire.

Best regards

Delfield freezer 6151-S keeps tripping GFCI

Try it in a normal plug. Freezers and refridgerators just pull too much to be used on a GFCI. The more a GFCI is used the eaiser it trips.

gfci's are designed to trip if they receive voltage on there ground/neutral side, therefore my vote is for Smithbrother I would say there is probably a partial short somewhere in you system.
