Problem for Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
Nah, its not a problem with the fuses ....

I checked the fuses, they were perfectly alright.
I even checked the fan because I had a bit of a trouble with the fan. Everything was fine.
I think that it is a problem with the small chip in front of the power button.
Has anyone come across this problem???
Can I solve it myself or do I have to give it to the repairer for changing the chip?
Is the chip available in the market?
If yes, then what is the name of the chip?

SInce your already into the unit, I know i give you some tips earlier. You may have a problem with the Reset/Eject Buttons. if the cable is connected, and you press them and nothing happens, We need to start looking at that. If the Red/Green led is not lighting, then someting could be wrong with the ribbon cable. Stay in touch, We will get there. I do not think it is a chip problem. Chip Problems usually are the LSER is not moving, or the DISC is not spining , or the CD tray is not opening.
