SOURCE: How do I remove the keyboard of my LG E200

As far as i remember with LG laptops they had 2 ways of assembly with their keyboards.
Once you have removed the keyboard screws from the base of the laptop turn it back over and open the lid.
Now there are 2 ways of removing the keyboard depending on the mapping of the components.
1, With the Xnote laptop series (and some others) there is 4 little latches above the F keys that you have to push back with a small flat headed screwdriver, once you have pushed them back the keyboard will lift up from the base, be careful as there is a fragile ribbon cable that has to removed from the motherboard before you can take the keyboard completely away from the base.

2, With some other LG models there is a plastic strip that goes across the top of the keyboard called the keyboard bezel, this has to be removed first by getting a very small flat headed screwdriver and gently lift the bezel out starting on one of the hinges first, the rest you can gently pull away with your fingers, this cuts down on cosmetic damage cause by the screwdriver. If your laptop is of this type there maybe a couple of screws at the top of the keyboard (under the bezel), again be careful with the ribbon cable.

Good luck.

How to remove keyboard

First check under the battery, there will probably be 2 or three screws under it with small keyboard symbols next to them. If you can't find this, try unscrewing all the screws on the bottom of your computer that are under your keyboard.
After you unscrew each screw, store it somewhere so you don't lose it, and test to see if the keyboard can be removed. You should be able to lift up the part closest to the screen, and then slide it out towards the screen.

  • First you need to lay back the laptops screen.
  • Insert a flat driver at the back of the keyboard and pull out the bar fully.
  • There are two screws holding the keyboard tightly.Unscrew them and slide out the keyboard and remove it.Don't remove the attached ribbon cord.
  • On the plate covering the mother board, there will be at least four screws.Unscrew them and remove the plate.
  • Around the corner of the motherboard is the CMOS/BIOS batterry.
Hope this helps.Thanks!

I have a LG LW75 Express and i need to take it apart, does nay one know how? I have removed all screws on the rear side but it seams that the keyboard are stucked in somehow.

In most cases you need to remove the top bracket with the power-button above the witch is firmly clicked but not screwed down. Do not break this cover!

Under this bracket there are screws from the keyboard. You need to unscrew these and remove the keyboard and gently pull out the flat cable to.

Under the keyboard there are screws that hold the bottom of the laptop you need to unscrew. Sometimes there are some wires from a wi-fi module that needs to be detached.

Hp g60-630us how to remove keyboard

I recommend that you unscrew all screws on the bottom of the laptop. Next, you will have to remove the plastic cover lying between the keyboard & the LCD screen panel's hinges. This has to be done gently so that it does not break. When this cover is removed, you will have access to the screws holding the keyboard to the laptop's chassis. Unscrew these screws & then gently lift the keyboard up. There should be a ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the laptop's motherboard. Unlock the connector holding the ribbon cable in place & now you can remove the keyboard.

Remember that, while doing this, if you have to force something out, then you are doing it the wrong way. There might be a screw somewhere that you missed & this screw might still be holding the parts together.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to drop me a note.

How to open the case of a thinkpad

First unscrew all of the screws. I think its best to put a piece of tape over the holes instead of taking the screws completely out. That way you don't get confused when its time to screw it back together. Then you have to take the keyboard off and probably unscrew screws under keyboard. Carefully remove the keyboard by lifting up ont the connector tab that holds the cable to the keyboard in. You really need to make sure all screws are unscrewed. It's easy to overlook some. If you have all the screws out and the KB removed you should be able to get it open with reasonable ease. It's been while since I have opened one of these but i think the lower portion where the touchpad is kind of interlocks with the upper portion of the case. Just keep in mind if you are pulling and it doesn't seem to be coming apart easily you have probably forgotten a screw somewhere. Good luck! If you get stuck let me know.

How to replace the DVD drive on Acer Aspire 5002

I actually had to permorm this action yesterday.
First remove the small strip above the keyboard by unscrewing the three screws at the back of the machine that hold it; then twisting the screen al the way back and lifting it up.
Second unscrew the keyboard (2 screws) and lift it away (don't detach the cable).
Third: on the left side under the keyboard unscrew 3 screws that hold the cdrom in place.
Pull the drive out. The rest (taking the case of the dirve) should be transparent.
There is nothing on the bottom you have to unscrew!

How to open Toshiba R25 Series Keyboard

t isn't that bad... The top strip comes right off if you pull up per the M400 manual. Unscrew the two keyboard screws and pull the keyboard (slowly) toward the monitor to give you some slack in the ribbon cable. Then fold the keyboard back over the touchpad. Unscrew the two screws holding down the metal panel in the middle where the keyboard is (be careful - they were very tight for me and I stripped one of the screws).

Put in your DDR2 4200 memory and be off and away...

You've to see at the back of your notebook, you have to unscrew that say say KB. Incase it is not written then unscrew all the top and middle screw. Some model after unscrew you have to remove the front panel first before removing keyboard or some model remove the front panel and KB screw is underneath it.By saying Front panel, I mean the panel at top where you press power-on button and all.
