Windows 7 do not reconize hard drive

Check the Drive Partition in Disk Management

Even though the drive may not be visible on the Desktop or in My Computer check to see if the drive is recognized in Disk Management

Right click on My Computer and select Manage from the menu From the Computer Management window select Disk Management from the menu on the left

In Disk Management check to see if the drive is visible

If the drive is found look at the partition for the drive

New drives will be labelled as FAT32 and have a drive letter assigned

If the drive does not display as Healthy or shows the file format as RAW then the partition has become corrupt

It could also be corrupt if the bar above the drive is black and shows as Unallocated

To make the drive usable again after a partition has become corrupt or lost start by right clicking on the drive in Disk Management and select Delete partition from the menu

Then right click on the drive again and select create partition from the menu

Follow the steps in the partition wizard to create a Primary partition

NOTE: Deleting the partition will cause all data on the drive to be lost. If the partition has become corrupt this may be unavoidable

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies is not responsible for lost data

It is highly recommended that data be backed up in multiple locations on multiple drives to minimize data loss
After the new primary partition has been created Disk Management will display the drive with an NTFS partition

The NTFS partition is unusable on a Mac. If the drive is used on Macintosh and Windows computers follow the link below to obtain a FAT32 formatting tool which will allow both Windows and Macintosh users to use the drive

hope it helps

I have a 3 SuperMicro P4DP8-G2 motherboards that have no video at start up and do 2 types of beeps after a few min. 1 long beep with short beeps continuously. and the other is 2 long beeps continuously....

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM is securely seated

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to have and end to function
obvisously the beeps are windows searching for some hardware it could be RAM cd/dvd hard drive or motherboard all of these must have secure connections for the computer to work
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

My Fujitsu MHZ2080BH G2 Hard Drive Froze Up and when I rebooted it reported that the hard drive was not found. I ordered an exact replacement drive and tried to pirate the circuit board from the new drive...

With the new controller card attached to the old drive, try to attach the hard drive to another computer via a EIDE/SATA to USB adapter, this way the other computer will read the drive as an external. Now open up Administrator tools in the control panel and click on computer management, then click on disc management. All drives attached to the computer will show here, whether they are active or not. Now find your drive, it will probably show up in the lower column with a drive number but no letter. Right click in the square where it says drive is "offline" click on initialize drive, follow the prompts and click on what ever it suggests. If it goes through the drive is initialized, if it comes up and says "drive not ready", then it means the control card swap sis not work and the drive is a complete loss. Your only option at that point is data recovery in a "clean room" facility.

When doing new installation i can not find hand disk drives

Check your BIOS if it's detect your Hard Drive. If detected then check your system BIOS whether SATA setting is enable or not. Disable it if you have enable it in IDE configuration. If you find there is no way to configure SATA in your BIOS setting then you need to download SATA driver for that Hard drive and used a software called nlite.

Here is the link for nlite software

Here is the guide link for using nlite software to make a bootable OS cd with SATA driver pre-installed.
