Problem with camera

My camera will be working just fine for awhile and then out of nowhere it will say memory card full, when it IS NOT full. Then it won't let me review or take pictures. If I plug it in to download the pics off, it won't download all of them, I have to take the memory card out and plug it in directly to the computer and clear the memory card through the computer. We got this camera & memory card in August of 2006.

Re: problem with camera

Jackboy, I don't think the filetype has anything to do with it. Why? one user said that he used a 2gig SD card! The problem is the firmware needs updating or the camera cannot handle large memory cards at all (512MB and more...1-2gig do not even read). I saw this problem on someone's c330 today.

7D wont work. It switches on but wont take a picture and the menu screen wont come on

Try formatting a memory card and trying it again. If the buffer is full and the card is full or corrupt the camera cannot take another image because it has nowhere to put it. Corrupt cards can cause a lot of problems Formatting cards regularly will made a big difference is camera performance. JUST BEWARE, FORMATTING PERMANENTLY ERASES ALL MEMORY CARD DATA., So copy the card info over to a HHD, or flash drive before you format.

Not reading the memory card

You need to get rid of the pics in the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Now, your card should work properly.

A 2gb memory card says memory full tried it in

No, that camera works with the 2gb cards just fine. You will want to try to format the card in your computer first, then try it in your camera (format it in the camera before using). If it doesn't format in the computer, it is a bad card.

Kodac easy share c330 says memory card full, but it is a new card

Which size has the memory card? More than 1GB?
The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

But try an firmware upgrade. Maybe the supporting now the 2 GB memory cards.
Why download firmware version 1.07?
This firmware version improves memory card compatibility and provides general performance updates.

Cant review pics on camera or computer, but camera says card is full

This occassionally happens with memory cards formatted using FAT. The simplest way for you to get the pics of the card when such a thing happens is to get a card reader. Pop the card in to the card reader, connect it to your PC and transfer the pics. Then format it using FAT32. I have noticed that my card was a lot more reliable in saving pics compared to FAT.

Hi there,

Check to make sure you...
1) have the card seated properly in the camera.
2) make sure the card your using in the camera is not full.
3) make sure if it's an SD card that it's not physically locked.
