Question about Dishwashers

Open Question

Kleenmaid Dishwasher DW371 stops working and beeps four times, with the "Finish light" flashing continuously. An error code d06 is displayed and the unit will not continue to operate. I can reset the dishwasher by holding down the "Start/Cancel" button. Water is present in the bottom of the dishwasher. After resetting the "Start/Cancel" button the machine drains the water and starts a cycle. It runs for three minutes and the unit beeps four times and displays d06 again. It starts filling a little, but keeps stopping mid cycle with an error d06.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
First take off the front bottom access panel and clean the drain filter pump assembly completely. After this if the problem returns then press these buttons in sequence for around 4-5 times: high temp wash energy saver dry then high temp wash energy saver dry.....After this wait for 2 minutes, if the problem returns then replace the control board. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

SOURCE: Blanco dishwasher error d06 faulty motor.

I have a Blanco BFD10X Dishwasher which had the same D06 error, being a Electrician i investigated the fault which Blanco report as motor over current. After testing the motor, i tested the motor Run capacitor and found it to be faulty, these capacitors are common to failure and will cause the pump to draw more current than usual.
A genuine replacement 2.5uf capacitor was quoted at $120.00, however i purchased a equivalent from RS online for $14.30 + delivery. RS P/N 769-4267
Dishwasher working fine again.

Zanussi dishwasher beeps once and end of cycle light flashes

Most likely your dishwasher finds fault.

Appliances without a display will show the alarms by a number of flashes of the LED "end of cycle".

For example: one flash = i10, two flashes = i20
..........and so on

So, count how many times LED "end of cycle" flashes and you will know the error code.

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element might have burned out. The heating element heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Usally this is a bad control board or in some cases, a bad display board. they are fairly easy to replace and should be covered under a 5 year parts warranty (no labor). if its older than 5 years i would advise getting rid of it before putting any real money into it as Eurotechs are affectionatly know as Eurotrash in the industry and it WILL give you more problems. If you need a short dishwasher to fit under some shorter than standard counters, go with an ASKO. They are made by the same parent company, but are 50 times better. Good luck!
