Cd player goes to err does not play any cd

Occasionally a problem like this can be fixed by cleaning with a special CD that has tiny soft brushes attached to it or by simply blowing compressed air into the CD slot. If all efforts to clean fail then the next most cost effective solution is to replace the CD player with an aftermarket unit. My personal preference is Pioneer, due to general low cost and hight reliability. Better than OEM.

I just purchased a Rowe AMI CD-100a. It was a barn find. Once I learned to initialize, I tried to play individual tacks or entire CDs. For each track, the unit picks the CD, places it down on the player...

Could be the power supply voltage is low, possibly due to a bad capacitor, it seems that when the counter advances it is pulling the voltage down enough to cause the problem you are experiencing. If you can select a disc in the service mode, the counter should be inactive, and you can see if the disc will play through.

Denon udcm m7 cd player often reads ERR on play and eject

Try cleaning the laser first. Take care, because it is delicate.

Some instructions of how to clean a CD laser:

If the cleaning does not fix the fault, it is possible that the laser is weak, or there are some problems in the electronics in the CD player. This is not something you will be able to service yourself, unless you are properly trained, have experience, and have the proper setup to perform CD player servicing.

In most cases these CD players are not cost effective to service. You can contact the orignal manufacture for details or any recomendations.

CD player restarts cd from beginning each time

1) What year and model is it?
2) Probably not.

I have an Emerson from several years ago that I've taken all apart and put back together.  My guess is, unless it auto powers off when paused, or there's another button besides play/pause, stop, Back, forward, mode, prog, and antiskip, your problem is better-solved with an mp3 player. An ipod shuffle would do fine. The shuffle feature can be turned on or off, and one may jog without disturbing the electronics.

Emerson MS3100 3-Disc CD Changer Troubleshooting

Sounds like you just need to keep looking for a small shop that will take it on for a fair price. You probably have a bad output transistor or module (which ever it uses). My shop could repair it, but to pay shipping to and from would just add to the cost of the repair and make it even more likely that a new unit would be about the same cost. There is no easy solution to this other than to keep looking and maybe talk to your friends to see if you can find a small shop in your area that can do it cheaply. Sorry I can't give you any better opinion. Good luck.
