I bought a used 1990 Legacy Wagon Automatic. The A/c does not blow cold. There is a tiny leak somewhere. If worst comes to worst how much to fix the A/C system? The local garage rate is $97 an hour
There is a sealant available for A/C systems, that has been known to work for small leaks. Something to consider. Used it a couple of times at customers request, with no guarantee, and it did work on small leaks.

Sounds like weak connection somewhere,I would start by one at a time, clean by scraping the prongs of each fuse. If this does not resolve your issue go by one of the parts houses that provide free electrical and charging system checks
Yes these cars are the same as far as parts go. You will need to change some wiring on the automatic car for the manual swap to work without changing the wiring harness.
Most places offer an a/c performance check for about $30 plus freon. They will add a die to the system and then check for leaks. Once they find the leak they will give you an estimate for repairs. You can then decide if you want to proceed or do it yourself. This would be inthe best route to find the leak.
My 1994 legacy has a switch on top of the steering column that turns the parking lights on and off. See if yours does too. Don't know about the shift lever.
Ok... you wrote "lock was all dry but after i charge the system it start leaking from the same place that the original was leaking,(center of ac compressure.)" Sounds like you should have 'OVER HAULED' the existing/used compressor before installing it... OR bought a recondition/new compressor (ya think?). It appears both the original and used compressors have the same defect.
the trans pan might just need a touch up on the bolts , cold weather will shrink the gasket a little bit , if you cant do it yourself , find someone thats handy to just touch up the bolts 1/4 to 1/2 turn on any that will move easly good luck
I hate to tell you this but the guy isn't returning your calls because the head gasket is blown and he probably knew it. As for the 1990... have you checked the water pump for leaks? (front/ driver's side on the bottom of the engine) My guess is that it's faulty and unfortunately, it's behind the timing belt. Both of these repairs will be a pretty penny. Good luck!
