Yoga 11s bios

  • 1. Turn off the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S.
  • 2. While the IdeaPad is turned off press the small button that is on the left hand side of the power button, it looks like a looping arrow symbol. You will need a small pen or a small needle to press the button.
  • 3. Once you press the small button the Lenovo IdeaPad will boot up and automatically take you straight to the Bios menu.
  • 4. Select the options that you need to change- such as changing the Function key settings. Exit the menu and save the settings. Once you reboot the computer it will take you back to Windows.

Computer wont stop timing out

Whether you use your computer for home or for work, it is important that it be available when you need it. If your computer keeps timing out, it will take precious time to bring it back to life so you can use it. Fortunately there are some simple changes computer owners can make to keep their computers from timing out and going into sleep mode.

Log on to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel" from the menu. Double-click on the "Power" icon in your computer's control panel. Look at the power settings for each option. Adjust the power options so that the computer's hard drive, monitor and system resources do not turn off. Many computers are set to time out after a period of inactivity, but it can be time consuming to wake them from their hibernation. By changing the power options you can prevent your PC from timing out and make sure it will be there when you need it. Hope this helps.

How do i set my desktop i want to go to the internet with out so long

If you want your laptop to turn on faster, I would consider the "Sleep" and "Hibernate" options instead of turning your machine off.
Sleeping uses up a tiny amount of power over time. So if your battery runs out while the machine is asleep, it'll turn off and anything you have open will be lost. But it does turn on the fastest.
Hibernate turns the machine completely off, and saves the information about what programs are open. Unlike sleep, it doesn't use any power, but it does take longer than sleep to go into, or come out of. It is still significantly faster than shutting down your machine.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 screen will just go black like it is going into hibernation while working on. Turned off all hibernation and sleep modes but still does it. Has anyone else had this problem and do you...

I recently worked on this exact problem.

We updated the video drivers to the most recent release.

I thought this fixed the problem but is re-surfaced a few hours later.

Then we flashed the BIOS to the most current version and reviewed the BIOS settings to ensure they were set the way we wanted them.

The problem appeared again the very first boot after flashing the BIOS. We re-booted and it hasn't happened again.

We are cautiously optimistic that the problem has been resolved.
