Question about Televison & Video
There is a common problem with all devices that have power supplies in them. The law of the universe is entropy. Everything gets worse with time. Some units it's cold solder joints (soldering that wasn't hot enough and cooling before it had a good contact) Others fail from lightning or power surges etc. Aging electrolytic capacitors. The usual part that fails is a voltage rectifier or voltage regulator, or diodes or very low ohm resisters etc.
